"If you want a true Italian family experience then a stay at BnB La Mortella is the answer. We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. The BnB was a bit hard to find but once we were there it was worth seeking. Antonio and his family also work the land with citrus and olive groves dominating the landscape. "Hotel has probably seen it’s day. Photo of outdoor pool shown on Expedias website was the draw to stay there. Pool is closed! FALSE ADVERTISING! General staff was very helpful and tried hard to help the guests but we were shocked to wake up to a woman screaming at the top of her lungs berating some poor fellow. Turned out she was someone important in the hotel chain of command, she was sitting in a nice office. Not used to this kind of abuse at full volume and in earshot of everyone who was in...
