Big Sur Lodge
Restaurant closed at 7:00; and prices are way too pricey for the scale of the property; cafe had only 2 sandwiches. Rooms have no TV/cell service; plain Jane; need upgrading.

An amazing stay. Clean room, comfy bed, clean bathroom. Thin walls. Good breakfast.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa
The Lucia server staff was excellent, but food seriously overpriced and menu was fairly unimaginative. Prices on alcohol drinks very high. Front desk staff seems reactive rather than proactive. Check in process was overly lengthy and clumsy.

Carmel Valley Lodge and Resort
Much better than usual chain hotel breakfast. Lovingly run by a family. Walking distance to the quaint Carmel valley village. We had a refreshing stay as family of four. Spacious rooms and beautiful gardens.
