"The room was clean, but the room need to be updated and remodeled. The guests were very loud at night. It reminded me of a motel. Some of the cable channels did not work. My microwave did not work. Every time you leave the room, you have to go to the main building to have them reset your key."
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Charleston South, WV
2/10 Terrible
"I’ve been coming to this hotel for about 4 years. It was never a 5 star but it was decent, inexpensive and friendly. This was by far the worst stay I’ve had. Aside from things I could overlook like the standard pillows on the king size bed, a press on nail beside the bed side table and scribbling on the wall, I couldn’t overlook being ignored when requesting new towels, multiple times and when I asked for my room to be cleaned specifically new sheets after my daughter had an accident, not only was the room not cleaned, sheets not changed and no towels, when I asked the employee if anyone was planning on changing them, he told me no and handed me sheets to change them myself. Needless to say, I won’t be going back. The day shift employee remembered me requesting new sheets and towels and was surprised no one ever did it and stated the housekeeper told her the key card didn’t work for my room. Like ok, sure. So she offered to comp one of my nights after I jump through hoops calling everyone. Who knows if it will even be comped. I was charged and they’re supposed to issue a refund so who really knows if it will happen"
"The hotel did not represent an Embassy Suites. It was dirty, staff was not friendly and the rooms were very dated. The breakfast staff did not want to be there. The eggs were burnt. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in"
Courtyard by Marriott Charleston Downtown/Civic Center
10/10 Excellent
"I always enjoy my stay here, this time we stayed because of Weird Al having a concert at the Charleston Civic Center.
The Courtyard Marriott was right across the street."
