10/10 Excellent

"Exceptional staff. Clean, beautifully restored historic building. Bar tender and pianist were both great. The Bistro at St. Michaels had a great selection and friendly staff as well. Even with the busy holiday crowds, the service was excellent. "

"Check-in was easy. In the lobby, they emphasized that it is pet friendly. The parking was one car per room (not an issue for us), right outside the room. The room was clean, had 2 TVs with a good selection of channels. The carpet in front of the couch slipped on the floor as I was trying to get up from the couch - almost fell, they need to fix this. The beds were clean, however they choose to use a plastic mattress cover, so every turn at night was crinkly. The breakfast we were told that was a grab-and-go bag to include an apple, an orange, a granola bar, and fruit snacks - 1) no diabetic friendly option, and 2) available after we checked out. I could not give feedback on any of this as the office opened at 8, we dropped the key in the box at 7:30 (Saturday AM)."

"This is a glorified motel with bare bones amenities and service. Definitely not worth the price we paid. Our room smelled stale and like strong cleaning products. And the floor creaked so loudly with every step that it would disturb anyone else sleeping or resting in the room. We stayed 2 nights. We returned after a long day to find the room had not been cleaned - I called the desk and they said it’s every 3 days unless requested….which they never said when we checked in. Then when I asked for more towels they said I would have to walk down to the front to get them. The property seems run down. Didn’t try the breakfast but the lobby coffee was nasty. The ice machine was out of service the first day. The only plus was the convenience of being close to the center of town for the activities we had planned. I have no desire to stay at a Best Western again anytime soon."

"We love the pro[erty and staff and have stayed there a number of times in recent years. My only complaints are related to the TV that is impossible to figue out how to get almost any channel. Also there are no instructions on how to get into the internet. An extremely nice and competent young mail staff memme come ot oour room and got me on the internet. Unfortunately it disappeared w/in 5 minutes of his departure! Room 100 May 22-23"
