"Western is a simple low cost resource in Dawson; good value for money. Clean, safe. AC worked well in both heating and cooling mode. There were a few minor bobbles. No shampoo in bathroom. No blanket on the bed other than the sheets and coverlet. Minor issues; the clerk gave us some shampoo, and we just turned up the AC heater overnight.
Next day the cleaning staff brought a very nice duvet and an extra pillow - above the grade of amenity we would expect in an economy facility."
"This is a really nice B & B. Room was very clean and comfortable. Naomi is a very personable host and we enjoyed chatting with her and learning more about the area. Breakfast was yogurt and some lovely fresh fruit. If your in the area I would recommend staying here."
"Desk clerk was very friendly and easy to talk with. She checked in with me on 2nd day of stay to make sure everything was okay and also asked if I needed anything, and if I did just ask."
"Staff were super friendly especially the young lady in the breakfast room. Very helpful. Check in was fast and easy. The room was very clean and comfy. Definitely would stay again."
"I stayed for 5 nights and my towels and wash cloths were only replaced on the first night other than that they never came in the room too clean or replace anything. There were stains everywhere the toilet seat, the fridge had stains and chunks of old spilt food, the blankets and sheets and all were covered in stains. The rooms look nothing like the “remodeled” pictures your seeing in the listing."
"People wanted to party all night and this is a small town, then the 2nd night someone decided to take off outside our room making noise in their car. The pool was out of order, the ice machine was out of order. They need to remodel this hotel as they don't sweep, mop or dust. The tub was scary but that's because they use one of those tub mats and it pulls up the enamel. No stopper in the tub or sink just open also scary. The ironing board had a big rip in it and the beds need to be replaced as you could feel the springs. And there were roaches. And someone likes to just stand and spit gum in the car lot. Not a pleasant stay at all."
