"Quaysiders resort is an apartment/hotel right by the upper side of Lake Windermere in Ambleside. It is in an absolutely perfect location close to the lake, shops, restaurants. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen that had all kitchen amenities. Our Apartment was very clean and spacious . There is an indoor pool that was warm and it can also be like a Jacuzzi. Top Preston Patrick Hotel Reviews

Grange Hotel

8/10 Good

"Beautiful hotel, but the leisure facilities were disappointing The Grange is a beautifully decorated hotel with a lovely atmosphere. We particularly enjoyed the carvery, which was absolutely delicious and a real highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat spoiled by a large coach party staying at the hotel. The behaviour of some of the children was particularly poor, especially around the swimming pool, which made it difficult to enjoy what should have been a relaxing experience. The pool changing rooms were also rather cramped and could benefit from more space. Overall, there is a great deal to like about this hotel, particularly its attractive interiors and excellent food. However, better supervision of the pool area and improvements to the changing facilities would make a significant difference to the guest experience."

Castle Green Hotel In Kendal, BW Premier Collection

8/10 Good

"Warm welcome and amazing, helpful staff team. Lovely clean rooms and great water pressure. Buffet style cooked breakfast was only thing that was not 100% ... one day it was all pretty dried under the lights, although the next stay it was much busier and breakfast was fresher as turnaround of stock was faster. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was good but a little pricy, although expected for a hotel restaurant. We would definitely stay again if in the area."
