I stayed in many hostel type places in the past. This one topped the list of the absolute worst. Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay here. "

"This was an absolute rip-off! Place was a total slum for poor Hondurans. Shabby, in disrepair, and filthy. There was no one around to check me in. After waiting 2 hours, I hailed a taxi and found a cheap clean hotel close to the airport. And shame on you Expedia for not vetting out these places. "

"I loved the location of this property! The buildings themselves have so much potential. The insides are very outdated and run down. The coffee maker was burnt and stuck to the warming plate and the sheets had drains. BUT you can’t beat the location and super friendly staff. The pool was super clean and warm with a nice outdoor shower. I would definitely come back here if they lowered the price for current condition of the buildings. And I would bring my own sheets. You can’t beat the location...

"The Reef House is in a quiet part of the island. We went for relaxation and diving. The first night we snorkeled at night in the ocean pool and saw octapus, shrimp, flounder, small eels, and huge urchins. My older son wanted to fish, so they arranged a day of fishing and visiting a shallow area where nurse sharks and rays hang out, so we got to snorkel with them. We caught a bunch of tuna and they cooked it up for us for dinner. We went during the end of August, which is the slow time. ...
