Elsa's is the exact example of an "old farm house" bed and breakfast that everyone looks for. Great, off the beaten path location, serene location and sea view, and a hostess that you just want to sit with and have coffee and home made cookies. Our room was cozy, clean and quiet - great view of the thick forest behind it.

Welcoming and comfortable in a lovely location a bit off the beaten track. The Schoodic Park drive well worth a visit as is the Pickled Wrinkle!

Great place to stay. Right on the Harbor. Gale was soooo helpful and gracious. Rooms were pretty, comfortable, and very clean. Easy to find. Great places within driving distance for dining.

Gail was very nice and made good recommendations of things to do. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed visiting with the other guests. We didn’t know that the drive to Bar Harbor and Mt Desert would take over an hour when we made the reservation.

I was so excited to stay at this inn even though it's almost an hour away from Arcadia National Park as it was stated to be on the harbor. It is but, there is a building/house directly in front of the inn as well as comercial usage. The room is very small. The pictures seem to indicate that there was a window seat in the room and that it was on the ground floor. The signature room is upstairs. There is a view to the left of the harbor. This room did not have a micorwave or mini fridge, or ice. As we were on the "road" I had to throw out perishables. The inn is adorable, the breakfast was great.

Everything was fantastic!!!! The room was even nicer than the pictures, and we had an absolutely delicious breakfast every morning. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else! It’s a bit farther from Bar Harbor but absolutely worth the drive.

Our room at Elsa's was lovely! Very comfortable and a lovely view. Gail was our host and was very accommodating. The bed linens were high quality and so pretty. Breakfast was also delicious!

Great place to stay at Perfect Harbor
This is a nice B&B if you decide to stay on Perfect Harbor during your Acadia visit. The host is very friendly and accomodating, ensuring you have a pleasant stay. Breakfast was fresh and hot. You can see the lighthouse right from the porch.

This place is located at a perfect location. Thanks to Gale's kind advise, we experienced the nature beauty in peace without any need to visit Bar Harbor. Breakfast was perfect, especially the Maine Brown Bread. I found it a bit pricy, but I suppose Bar Harbor would have been more expensive.

Cozy Bed and Breakfast by the Bay
Stayed at Elsa's to be able to drive to Acadia and dont regret it. You can see the sunrise over the bay as the lobster boats set sail in the morning. The staff was super friendly and helpful in providing tips about the area. Breakfast was delicious and looked made from scratch!!! Room was cozy and well kept.

We enjoyed our stay very much, and especially appreciated the helpful advice on things to see and do in the area. The view overlooking the harbor was beautiful, the room was lovely (a very comfortable bed!), and there were lots of thoughtful amenities. We would come back if in the area again.

If you"re looking for a quiet, clean and comfortable B&B, this is the place! It's located away from traffic and crowds but an easy commute by car or ferry to many well known Main attractions. The room was cute and cozy yet spacious and the home cooked breakfast was delicious! Gail, the hostess, was so friendly and helpful! Would highly recomnend and will definitely return!!

Best bed and breakfast in Maine!
Had a quick overnight trip up to Maine and crossed paths with Elsa’s INN! Very thankful to have a private room and private door access, helps when waking up early or returning later in the evenings. Elsa was inviting welcoming us to our room and made sure we had everything we needed and informative with what’s happening in the area! This INN is located right across the street from the ocean, in the mornings you can sit on the beautiful deck with a fresh cup of coffee, watch the humming birds and the boats leaving the harbor, a perfect start to your mornings in Maine! Booking was easy and hospitality provided was unmatched. I look forward to visiting again!
