The Sagittarius Gole, spectacular and picturesque canyon carved by centuries of erosion of the rushing waters of the Sagittario river, represent one of the most important natural areas in Europe. The Regional Nature Reserve of the Sagittarius Gole (WWF since 1991) is located in the town of Anversa degli Abruzzi.
After two hours, starting from Rome, we reached this magical place driving along a small road for several kilometers on the bottom of this deep canyon.
The view of the lake, which suddenly appears after a curve, is one of the the most gorgeous spots that you can find in central Italy.
Scanno lake is the largest natural lake of Abruzzo, a region situated in central Italy.

The landscape is amazing and the color of the water is stunning.
