The hotel sits on a hill with nice view. Since it's not on the beach and the sea view is partially blocked by other high-rise hotels, that could block the hotel from asking full price (?). However, the area is nice and convenient with beach, restaurants, bus stops and supermarket all withing walking distance. Also, breakfast buffet is top rated with lots of varieties. Will be back next year!

After having read a lot of negative reviews we were a little apprehensive about the hotel but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. We were able to check-in an hour and a half early and staff were all very friendly and professional. Room was lovely and everywhere was very clean. Some building work going on but didn’t cause any issues. Plenty of choice at mealtimes and it was always presented beautifully. The rooftop bar is amazing! Bit of a steep hill or steps into town but lots in the area to see and bus stops close by. Really lovely hotel and good value for money.

I found the overall condition of the hotel to be extremely dated. Additionally, there were issues with bathroom leaks in our room, which not only affected our comfort but also raised concerns about the maintenance standards of the hotel. The food lacked basic quality, poor choice, tasteless. Very good location. The view from our balcony was breathtaking.

The hotel was excellent for a family holiday. Wonderful food and facilities. Modern, clean and friendly. The walk to the centre of town was short and there was a shop very local for any bits extra you need. An absolutely fabulous place to stay. Highly recommended.

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommmendes Personal. Den schönen Ausblick in Richtung der Playa Martianez vom Balkon bezahlt man durch die Lage des Gebäudes im Hang. Es gibt zwar sogar ein kleines integriertes Fitness-Studio im Keller mit ein paar Geräten, wenn man das möchte, der tägliche mehrmalige Gang über mehrere hundert Stufen von der Stadt hinauf zum Hotel erspart einem das aber eigentlich. Einen der wenigen (etwa 15) Parkplätze auf dem Hotelgelände zu ergattern ist je nach Tageszeit unmöglich bis extrem unwahrscheinlich. Wenn man Pech hat, muss man 15 min Fußweg bergauf entfernt auf einem Parkplatz in Richtung der Stadtgrenze parken, weil die Stadt mit Autos brechend voll ist, außer man landet einen Glückstreffer und es fährt gerade jemand los... In jedem Fall sollte man gut zu Fuß sein ;) Essensangebot bei Frühstück und Abendessen gut und reichhaltig, dort wird sicher jeder Geschmack fündig! Der Speisesaal erinnert von der Atmosphäre leider an eine Mischung von Mensa und Reha, da sehr kahl und laut. Wer auf Schnickschnack steht, hat noch eine Dachterrasse mit Tagesbar und 2 HotTubs, einen Pool im Außenbereich, den genannten Fitnessraum und eine kleine Sauna zur Auswahl. In Gesamtbetrachtung eine solide und gute, zentral gelegene Unterkunft, die den reinen Zweck des Übernachtens (und auch einige Schnickschnack Angebote) gut erfüllt. Die 4 Sterne sind aber nicht angebracht. Dafür erwarte ich mir mehr Qualität in der Einrichtung und Zimmerausstattung.

De medewerkers zijn heel vriendelijk. Naast het hotel (naast onze kamer) vond de renovatie van het zwembad plaats. De bouwvakkers begonnen om 07.00 uur met luide werkzaamheden. Wanneer je op vakantie bent is dat niet wenselijk. Aangegeven bij de receptie, ze zouden het doorgeven aan de bouwvakkers, maar een andere (soortgelijke) kamer was niet beschikbaar. Ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. Het buffet diner was veel, niet altijd even vers. De top roof was geweldig. Fantastisch uitzicht met een heerlijke whirlpool. Al met al een prima verblijf.

Die Lage des Hotels ist super, das Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen - wird aber derzeit Stück für Stück neueren Standards angepasst.Tolle neue Dachterrasse incl. 2 Whirlpools mit sagenhaftem Blick über die gesamte Region !!! Inakzeptabel dagegen ist der Bar-Veranstaltungs-Raum,dem jegliche Atmosphäre fehlt .

Un 10/10 sin duda… De malaga a Tenerife

Mi pareja y yo estuvimos alojados 5 dias y el servicio maravilloso, mucha amabilidad en el personal del hotel, especialmente con la chica de recepción que nos recibió el jueves por la tarde (no supimos el nombre y no la volvimos a ver durante el fin de semana), Pedro del restaurante y Miriam (de cocina) que nos deleitó con platos muy ricos y una amabilidad excepcional. La comida bastante casera, trataban de variar y mantenían siempre todo en excelentes condiciones. La limpieza y el orden en el hotel era notable, las camareras de piso de la platan 3 sin duda muy amables y siempre atentas. El único detalle es el problema para aparcar por la zona ya que el hotel no dispone de parking, tiene algunas plazas fuera pero son completamente insuficientes, aunque con la amabilidad del personal siempre dispuesto a solucionar se esmeraban por ayudar a conseguir “algún huequito” cuando se podía. Sin duda volveremos a ver cómo quedará esa reforma :) Muchas gracias a todos por los servicios prestados, nos vinimos a malaga muy contentos.

Okay mit gutem Standort und preiswert.

Das Hotel überzeugt dank seinem Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und dem eigentlich guten Standort für etwelche Ausflüge mit Bus und/oder um einen Beach-Tag zu absolvieren. Alles in kleiner Gehdistanz erreichbar. Zimmer war grosszügig, zweckmässig und sauber. Nachttischlampe flackerte nur statt zu leuchten und in der Dusche war eigentlich nur ein kleiner Wasseraustritt spürbar statt richtig duschen zu können. Man stellt fest, dass das Hotel ins Alter gekommen ist und länger nicht mehr renoviert wurde. Pool hat's auch, doch mehr zur Show als effektiv nutzbar. Beim Frühstück ist Quantität vor Qualität und halt in einem grossen Raum ohne Ambiente und viel Lärm. Service ist freundlich und spricht mehrere Sprachen, allerdings könnte es noch eine Spur zuvorkommender sein.

Points forts: Le personnel est sympa que ce soit à l'accueil ou au resto ou par les femmes de ménage. Beaucoup de choix pour le petit déjeuner et diner (en demi pension) Par contre les boissons ne sont pas inclues Les points à améliorer sont : - le bruit car il y a des travaux et les baies ont du jeu - le manque de places de parking (environ 15 places pour tout l'hôtel) - attention il faut être sportif car beaucoup de marches ou une pente assez raide pour accéder à l'hôtel depuis la plage

L'ensemble du personnel est très sympathique Chambre spacieuse et lit très confortable. Buffets très copieux Point noir pour le parking bcp trop petit par rapport au nombre de chambres, ce qui occasionne également des manoeuvres pour les bus avec leurs bips de marche arrière très désagréables Bruits également dus à des travaux à l'extérieur et mauvaise isolation au niveau de la baie

We had an amazing stay at El Tope, it was just what we wanted. Would love to see some more amenities at the hotel and more activities/events within the hotel itself. The rooftop bar was a highlight which seemed newly built, there were works going on whilst we were there so hopefully even more new stuff to come! Thanks El Tope for a wonderful vacation

Hotel muy antigo, hacendo reforma con hospedes, desde pronto escucha el trator con escombros, sin aire condicionado, estava apagado y un calor en la habitación.

Pretty standard hotel with nice views of the area surrounding. The food was very basic though and lacked flavour, but at least it had variety. Wish the swimming pool was a bit bigger, but overall it's a nice stay and a good place to relax.

La verdad que lo mejor han sido las vistas que he tenido desde la habitación, en la 6ª Planta. La playa está muy poco accesible, y el aparcamiento también deja mucho que desear... La comida muy buena, y con mucha variedad, pero en el todo incluido no entra toda la bebida, incluso pedimos un barraquito y te lo ponían pero sin licor... De la habitación lo que no me gustó fue la moqueta.
