This hotel was fantastic. Super clean. The staff was very helpful, especially the staff at the front desk. Speaking very broken Spanish was not a problem as almost everyone can communicate in English. The breakfasts were very tasty and were included - we chose from a menu of about 6 main items. The property is roughly a 10 minute walk from the main street/beach. If we return to this part of Costa Rica, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is okay — nothing special. The area is beautiful, with very tall trees surrounding the property, and howler monkeys waking us up early in the morning, but the hotel itself feels worn out. The rooms are spacious but very basic. Breakfast is fine, though not memorable. It’s about a 12-minute drive to the beach, but the road is narrow and not very pleasant. As a budget hotel it would be great, but it feels expensive for what it offers. On the positive side, it has good parking.

This location is great and within 6 minutes of the tourist area. The walk from the restaurants to the room at night lack illumination but excepted. The restaurant food isn’t anything special but there are lots of restaurants. I would stay at this place again, no questions asked

I absolutely loved my stay at Terrazas. The location is fantastic, close to a ton of restaurants and bars, and practically across the street from the beach. The staff is super welcoming and kind, and they even surprised me with dessert for my birthday. The rooms were very comfortable and the AC worked very well, as did the hot water for a shower. I also really enjoyed the toiletries; everything was top notch. I highly recommend.

Best value for the money. We stayed here two nights, surrounding is very beautiful, we got to see dart poison frog, Iguana, monkeys, sloth, and variety of birds morning and evening around the hotel. Location is quite and walkable to the beach, restaurants and shops. Food at the restaurant is very good, my kids had pasta and it was one of the beat pasta we had on the trip with fresh ingredients. Staff was very nice. Overall we ranked this place very high compared to other places we stayed in Costa Rica.

The hotel is great. Nice all the way around. The only downside is the road to get to it and the other properties around it a very poor and run down. It is secluded and you don’t see any of the other areas so it doesn’t distract from your stay. Since it’s I. The rain forest we were awakened around dawn by the mono Congo Spanish. Or whaling monkeys in English pound cry. You’d think it was a lion. Neat to go out and see in the trees

The property itself was gorgeous with lovely and convenient layout. It is NOT close, nor did it feel safe, to walk to the beach. We had a car which was kept in a safe lot, security guard was never seen. We didn’t buy the breakfast and got to wear a bracelet that made sure we kept away from the breakfast buffet. Kids in the pool made relaxing at night difficult. Not kids fault, just don’t expect peace and quiet. The air conditioning was fantastic but the furniture in the room was scant only had the bed. No place to sit. Very clean though. Would stay again, but felt like it was advertised as more than it was. Be prepared for more family friendly than convenient couple time.

Beautiful resort style hotel in the middle of the jungle, yet close enough to restaurants in town and the beach. It has its own private parking lot. Lobby is very nice and sheltered from the rain. Staff communicates everything you need to know and is very friendly. The welcome drinks were a nice touch. The pool is beautiful and clean. The bar is spacious and it seems there is something for everyone, even the kiddos. Our double twin room was spacious and clean. I only wish it had a bedside lamp and a table and chair in the room, but that's me just being nit picky. Breakfast in the morning was great and staff was fun and helpful. I'll be returning.
