Great couples vacation find

This lodge is every bit is beautiful as the pictures show. They had a young sloth on property that we saw the first day. We saw all sorts of birds and agoutis too. Staff were very helpful. Filtered water and coffee on endless supply in the dining area. The Wi-Fi on the property is good, but it does not extend to the cabins. This was fine with me, but it is something that might be relevant for visitors. The rooms are absolutely thoughtfully done in the open air living is marvelous. Also many good restaurants within an easy walk.

This delightful eco lodge felt so laid back and relaxed, while also providing lovely amenities that we felt so taken care of. We stayed in one of their queen-bed bungalos which was open air (but screened in) and had a hot shower. Only having wifi at the lodge meant we fully unplugged while in our little jungle home, but we're still able to have access in the common area for trip planning which was helpful. We loved being able to walk across the street to Playa Chiquita, which has the loveliest little tree covered beach spots for reading and spending the day. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and our room came with complimentary breakfast and fresh juice / smoothie which was so nice to have and always different every day. It was also very cool to be in the jungle... The pathways between the different areas of the property were lovely to walk on and we saw so much wildlife (including monkeys swinging in the trees overhead!). Having the yoga deck was also great because there were options for classes. We did a sound bowl with a local energy worker and intuitive which was a special experience. I would definitely recommend to friends!

Not great, Bob!

The property was cute but the room was not -- it had some kind of debris falling from the ceiling and onto the the bed, which was worrisome. Not sure if it was dust, wood, or pest waste. No air conditioning and there's wi-fi in the restaurant area, which is hundreds of feet away from the rooms. Dinner not always available (there was a private event that precluded other guests from having dinner) but did have a good breakfast.

Wonderful and secluded

Excellent for rest and relaxation in a true to nature environment. Property is well maintained and outstanding compared to similar properties in the area. Its location is near to some of the best beaches on the Caribbean Coast. Other attractions are also close by. The breakfast provide was also excellent and healthy. Last but not the least is the staff and the owners added a significant personal touch.

Loved it!

Just loved this place. So accommodating, yoga was great, short walking distance to the Jaguar Rescue Centre and excellent beaches around. I plan on going back in the future. Much thanks to everyone at this wellness centre.

Nos fue bien en general, la zona muy buena, el precio muy razonable. Volvería... Me parece que el desayuno debería ser optativo ya que fue regular. La única incomodidad es que solo tienen personal de 8 am a 8 pm, si uno llega pasadas las 8 pm le toca abrir el portón, guardar el carro, cerrar el portón y además el portón no es lo más seguro ya que no tiene candado ni llave.

Hidden in the Jungle

This was a wonderful stay to get away and be in the jungle with the sounds of wildlife, but yet so close to town and the beach. You can keep busy with things to do or just relax on the hammock on your own private deck. Room was spotless, staff friendly and food delicious. There is yoga to take part in if you choose to and I belive they also offer massages. A wonderful place. If I ever end up in this area again this will surely be the place I will be staying.

A MUST!!!!

Very accommodating! It was like sleeping in the jungle with the bungalows in between the trees and foliage. Only had one giant cricket that would sneak into our room, we would escort Mr. Jimmy Cricket outside where he belonged. The bungalows have a fan and screening over all the open areas to give you the best sounds, breeze and tropical smells. The front desk was so friendly and helped us arranged cheap transportation, and find the best local eats. Walking distance to the beach, which was nice and clean. Able to see wild monkeys down the road and saw a wild agouti on the property while enjoying breakfast. The food the hotel made was yummy, and the staff bends over backwards to make sure your needs are met and your comfort is satisfied. I would definitely come back here and recommend it to others. If you do stay here, super recommend to visit the Jaguar Rescue Center (private tour), worth every penny. :)

Stay in the jungle

Stay out of tourist busy town, it was so lovely to stay small lodge type in the forest. stuffs are friendly, helpful and awesome people. Breakfast was wonderful. common area has free coffee and teas. only i didnt like was loud club music from behind this place :( *i used "map.me" it wasnt right place. if you are using map.me, do not turn what it says. this place is on the main road, look for yellow round sign on the right. its about 50m ahead from what map.me ask you to turn right.
