Beach is fabulous, good selection of food, and you never have a problem finding a chair at the pools or beach.

Rooms were clean and decent food wasnt the greatest but the resort was good sized and lots of pools to choose from. Friendly staff. Make sure you use bug spray before being in the sand, sand fleas were horrible.

This place knew how to keep the party going, always something going on.. clean, friendly and the beach is beautiful.. only downfall was the bug bites I got from either mosquitoes or sand fleas,, next time I’ll be sure to have bug spray

Don’t believe the negative reviews, Great overall stay, this was my 5th time in punta Cana and probably my favourite resort, amazing grounds/beach and above average food. Service was great and the jerk chicken by the beach is 10/10 Great overall value for money, if you want a luxurious experience pay double the price and go elsewhere

The room was excellent, atmosphere, grounds and amenities were great, the staff was very attentive however the food and drinks got repetitive after a few days which led us to outside services. The entertainment was top tier. The jerk chicken was amazing! The grounds and amenities were nice. We enjoyed the kid free environment which allowed us to make friends and have a fun time on an adult level.

Room was okay , staff will not really pay attention to you unless you give them cash but that’s probably almost everywhere in the Dominican , but the hotel it self it’s nice , pools and beach areas are clean, food is not bad at all . and the riu parties are so much fun. I will recommend this place if you looking to party , drinks and have fun. If you looking for nice rooms, special amenities top service , don’t go there .

I enjoyed my stay at RIU Republica in DR. Staff was always cleaning, so I appreciated that. The food wasn't all that great at the buffets but the restaurants were a little better. It was all inclusive food and alcohol but the alcohol was Not top shelf, all cheap brands. Beach access was nice. There was plenty of pool space and they were clean.

Drinks are soooo lower quality, foods are same low quality entertainment was good 2 night, white night and beach party was good daytime pink party ,rest days for entertainment was like old age style boring, we where 10 of us styed at this hotel never ever going back .

The room could use some new furniture and it was super cold. The sports bar food is bad - hot dogs , hamburgers and nachos and some idk maybe old fruit but other than that i would highly recommend staying here 100%. The staff was friendly except a few bartenders. I definitely enjoyed the breakfast lunch and dinner food also. The gym was better than expected. Even though there were lots of guests it never felt crowded ever

the bar tenders and dining wait staff were wonderful friendly and accommodating. the walk from the room to ammenities was difficult and gettin to the beach too far, too much walking with a handicap they did not have a wheelchair or any golf carts to help guests very low service we had someone knocking on our door at 2am in the morning very scary very much partying goign on people drunk all over puking at the pool.. if you are not a big party person, find another place and if you are not looking for quality and you just want a place to lay your head its fine

If you stay, wear bug spray. My legs got absolutely eaten up by mosquitos and sand fleas. Staff were nice, food was meh, and the place needs some serious deep cleaning and renovations. The jerk chicken bones in the sand and various cockroach sightings were also very offputting.

Staff was attentive but I would not stay there again. Rooms are outdated. Had to change rooms twice due to uncleanliness. Food was average. Nothing special Amenities were mediocre. Gym equipment was broken and dirty. Place needs a thorough cleaning. Spa was nice. One of the best massages I ever had.

No washcloths, requested maintenance for safe 3 times - never showed, majority of food was cold, not good, or very limited selection, majority of staff not friendly, lack of entertainment, staff not up to date on things - asked 3 people same questions, got 3 different answers. My 2nd time at a Rui resort, disappointed both times, will not go back to a Rui again
