Premier Hotel Cabin Punta Leona

"Very nice resort hotel at one end of the long beach frontage road. Really friendly bellmen and desk staff. It has a splendid pool, and beyond the pool the beach and ocean. The oceans can be rough here, and there tends to be sediment in the water due to the river that enters just to the north of the hotel, but it is still great.It is a short walk to the banks, shops, and restaurants. There is a small casino that we lost some money in. There are also other small casinos near by. Not a big gambler, so didn't spend much time here. The pool is the best part of it all for me. Property has good security, and the view of the ocean is outstanding."

"The staff was wonderful everywhere! I even de-magnetized my key card and the cleaning crew heard us having trouble and came over to help and got us a new key sent over. The facilities are fantastic with all the choices for food and pools, and the whole setup was beautiful and well maintained. We will be back!"

"We stayed here as a young family with 5 kids ages 3-13. When we booked this hotel I couldn't really find any reviews that described the beach/ocean since it's a l beachfront hotel so I'm hoping I will help paint a picture. The beach sits right across the non busy street-very close walk. The sand is dark and incredibly soft and goes on forever. There are some chairs and tables (not many maybe 6 chairs) under some shade to sit on. There are signs that say no swimming at this beach because of the rip tides. We swam as anyways but kept a close eye on our kids. We reached boogie boards for the 5 days we stayed at "the surfer factory" in Jaco. We boogie boarded and swam across from the hotel a couple times and enjoyed it but felt safer doing these things at Jaco Beach which isn't far. The waves there are perfect for boogie boarding and the water is so warm to swim in. There are no seashells at Hermosa Beach (the beach in front of the hotel) or Jaco and there is no snorkeling. Boogie boarding and surfing is what it's all about. Oh, and there are tons of Halloween Crabs at Hermosa Beach which was really cool. As for the hotel itself, the rooms were cleaned very well daily, the pool was nice, the breakfast that was included was a sit down hot breakfast and although there weren't many options, it filled us up and was satisfying. We saw many red macaw's in the area including two right out our balcony the first day. "
