"Great location for this hotel in centre of Corfe Castle with parking which is a plus as the village doesnโt have many places to park. We booked a garden room for two nights and were a little disappointed as the garden rooms are all described as spacious and within their own walled garden. The photo shown on their website does not in any way look the same as the one we had. The room we were given was very small and dark and had tiny awning windows. In the recent heat it was impossible to breathe with no air circulating due to the room overlooking a covered area and with small awning windows that hardly opened. A fan was provided but the cable was too short and there were no sockets near enough to plug the fan in front of the bed. I had paid the same as others in garden rooms but think we were short changed in size as there was only enough room to walk around the bed. We dined in the restaurant on the first night and were shown to a room (not the restaurant) and had to ask to be seated and order taken 30 minutes after our booking time! No idea why we werenโt taken to the table at time we booked. We had booked the first sitting so expected to be seated then - maybe staff should be better instructed. The food however was excellent and so was the freshly cooked breakfast. The best member of staff was the young girl on our second morning at breakfast. She looked after us and made sure we all had our breakfast ordered in good time."
