"This is a small, clean, quiet motel that was great for our recent 6 night stay.Bed was comfortable, small room which was ok for just the two of us as we were pretty much only there to sleep and it was nice and quiet to sleep. They had bagels and muffins, juice and coffee and some fruit for breakfast but there is also a breakfast restaurant right next door that served a great breakfast. No problem parking right outside our room.Great value for your dollar."
"We've been looking for a clean and non-sketchy place to stay in the Foster area, and this motel was an excellent find! We've stayed in other park-by-the-door motels in the area (which have been noisy and active at night, and variably clean or not), and we expected this place to be similar. We were pleasantly surpirsed to find Quiet Corner to be a nice and indeed quiet, motel. Since we visit frequently, we will definitely be staying here again!"
Publick House Historic Inn and Country Motor Lodge
8/10 Good
"We love the Publick House; we've stayed there approximately two dozen times on our way to/from Maine.
While this was still a good visit, we asked to change rooms because the toilet ran continuously, and the bathroom fan was so loud that it could be heard outside our room door. We were able to change rooms, but wondered if the two issues in our first room would be fixed before assignig it to another guest."
"It was clean and very nicely updated. Window view was also beautiful. Pond along fall colors. Also very close to highways. Will use this hotel again."
"It was good but a little confusing. The electronic key did not work. The manager finally had to give us another room. The service was good and friendly. There was a good breakfast restaurant, not affiliated with the motel that was close by. The location was somewhat isolated. This had advantages and disadvantages depending on how you look at it."
"Good value for the cost. Clean, simple room. Only strange thing was the lighting. Recessed lights that are incredibly dim for the first 5 minutes- no table lamps to add lighting- then suddenly brighten. Assuming it’s due to warming up. The dimmer switch did not do anything until after warming up. Lots of parking and had control over room temp."
