"We spent 3 nights at the lakehouse and it was a lovely property. The staff went out of their way to help us when our tour (the reason we travelled to Phong Nha) was cancelled at the last minute. They secured a new kayaking tour for us and it was spectacular. Pros: * The villa was beautiful! It had a private outdoor shower and bath. The air conditioning worked perfectly and it had a balcony overlooking the lake. * The staff were friendly, and extremely helpful. * the pools were cool and refreshing Cons: * the included breakfast was not great. It did not have very much selection and was cold. * the restaurant in general was way too overpriced and the food was not good at all. We ate elsewhere after the first night. * there is a charge for using the resort kayaks, bikes, etc Overall, we enjoyed our stay :)"

"The hotel suite was just amazing, the bed and bath was exceptional and so comfy, the staff were friendly and happy to help. Food and drink were also high quality. Ran out of some drinks tho. Inside spa the water could be cleaner, didnโt use it in the end. But the outside pool was lovely and much cleaner. "

"Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Nguyen Shack so much! There is such lovely views from the room and eating area. The yoga was amazing and it was so convenient having breakfast there every AM, The staff are some of the kindest people Iโve ever met,., they truly want you to feel at home. My kids LOVED all of the animals and spent hours hanging out with them. We rented scooters and drove the route they recommended and stopped at Paradise cave. It was such a stunning drive. If you get the privilege to stay here you wonโt regret it."
