"There was alot of noise from room above which is down to that guest not the hotel and only got one pack of biscuits on the tea tray for 2 people which was bit stingy but everything was great and staff were lovely. Also food was tasty."
"This hotel is spotless. The staff are very friendly. The staff that clean and look after the rooms do an exceptional job.
The restaurant staff were always cheerful even under pressure. The Italian lady on Saturday morning was a delight to meet.
Saturday and Sunday evening Des and Dan ran it so smoothly. They were so welcoming and attentive. Excellent service. The breakfast was excellent. Great choice of buffet and excellent coffee. The hot breakfast is freshly prepared, not on the buffet. There is a list to choose from.
The restaurant food is excellent quality. Five star chefs 😊
The Superior deluxe room was spacious. There is a kettle with a lovely selection of teas and coffee. Oat milk and semi skimmed milk sachets. A decanter of cold water and glasses.
The bathroom was clean. The towels super soft. The dispensers for shampoo and shower gel a bit hit and miss. The hand and body lotion has a light fragrance.
The sink surround is too close to the toilet. I hurt my elbow. The shower is over the bath. The screen needed to be pulled into the bath before stepping out. It wouldn’t be suitable for unfit people.
Unfortunately the iron was dirty and leaked. The ironing board was good.
The hairdryer was good.
The room was light and airy with a balcony. The bed was super comfy
It was a long weekend stay, thoroughly enjoyable .Thank you to all"
"A beautiful place to stay when visiting Orkney. Ideal location to get to all the sights. Accommodation was perfect and Albert and Aileen couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!"
"Charming older hotel, great location a short walk from the ferry terminal.A bit on the worn out side, but clean and comfortable. No elevator that I saw and there is a 1 story walk up to reception, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues. The parking at the back is limited and a little intimidating at first. The staff are helpful and friendly."
"The sister hotel to the Shore was where we needed to check in, it is undergoing refurbishment of its facade. The Shore was clean, easy access to the city center, and meet our needs. Parking was easy and the staff went the extra mile to help us with our luggage as there is no elevator at the Shore (we knew that at the time we made our reservation)"
