"Simply amazing place!
Location - unbeatable. Cliffs to the mountains are right outside your window. Canillo is small, walkable, and near a ton of hiking, skiing, or natural beauty in general.
Room - excellent. Spacious, with comfortable beds, deep and comfy bathtub, mini-fridge. While Andorra isn't nearly as hot as most of Europe in a heatwave, we welcomed air conditioning that could always keep up with necessary cooling.
Parking - great. Costs a surcharge, but super convenient, safe, onsite, and much better than random outside street or garage parking.
Spa - winner. I didn't personally try it, but my wife went several times and raved about the pool, hot+cold spa areas.
Breakfast - excellent. Surprisingly good quality even for a European hotel. Had not only charcuterie type meats and tons of pastries, but more welcome protein options like an omelet chef.
Staff - lovely. All we talked to were super friendly and helpful, about amenities, laundry, nearby locations, restaurants, etc. They were also happy to engage when I spoke in (passable but slow) Spanish, and encouraging when I tried a bit of (probably terrible) Catalan - while all of them also spoke extremely good English.
Loved this place. A rare 5-stars all around, would absolutely prioritize staying here again."
"Our first impressions were mixed as this was our first time at a ski resort in the summer and there was some building work outside of the hotel we didnāt know about that concerned me and a lot of the guests were more senior so we were skeptical . We quickly changed our minds. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, we all had plenty of room and the bathrooms were very generous. The sliding doors blocked the outside noise! Not sure where Iād hang all the wet ski stuff but not a problem this time. The food was great, good selection, especially good breakfast buffet. Staff lovely and helpful. Spa and gym very well equipped . Shame it wasnāt open for longer hours. Hotel arranged a massage for one of us, they were especially lovely to my son who happens to be Autistic, I was very impressed by their kindness in this regard. The entertainment was really good also and not just for families with little kids, everyone got involved. We liked the whole multigenerational vibe here . Soldeu has some excellent restaurants and loads to do at a very reasonable price. We will definitely back to ski ! Thank you x"
"Staff is really helpful for any needs and request
Situation is great near the river, calm area, easy access to mountain.
Building is a bit old and would be amazing (and deserved 4 stars) with some renovation (room acoustics, breakfast room)"
