"Our room was nice, well designed and clean. amazing view on the lake which makes everything else not matter as much. The hotel is going through some revamping. Nice modern Scandinavian style and adding a bar and small plates, etc. so far the bar was not open when we really needed a well deserved drink after a hike before getting ready for later plans. The pool was icy cold, I actually got kinda sick after jumping in it after a hike. Its not a lap pool to keep your heart rate up, a small pool should be more like jacuzzi temp (keeps the families with kids away though). Stuff was nice, but not super helpful with activities suggestions. no maps or brochures on what's around. But overall a very nice, quiet, clean place close to everything, yet not in the middle of a busy part of the street. The price was right and I can totally see coming back."

"Very nice place to stay while out & about in the Lake Placid area. The facilities had everything we needed for our family. Great location too! Short drive to and up Whiteface Mountain. Rates were very affordable and the complimentary breakfast was delicious."

"Amazingly cute little cabin with a stone fireplace. So cozy and welcoming. Small but well defined areas made it very comfortable. Loved personal little touches like handwritten notes on how to work the TV, cleanup and welcome. Amazingly sweet porch with a “Welcome Gnome”, lights and chairs to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area. We were there in the rain which added its own charm but in the summer I bet the fire pits are magical. Would definitely love to stay here again and for longer!!!!"

"The view from our room was spectacular. Being able to look out upon Whiteface Mountain and surrounding area from our room was absolutely worth it! The hotel is definately older and could use some modernization however, its cozy and located centrally to everything we wanted to do and see. The amenaties were adequate however the shower definately needed some help. The hot water needed to be turned on for 5-10 minutes before it would even start to get warm, so plan for that. Other than that the beds were comfy and we had plenty space in our room. We even had a nice little balcony with the 2nd floor room with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the scenery. The family staff were friendly and so was the family dog! If you looking for a cozy vacation spot that is close to all the attractions with an awesome view of the mountains, check out Ledge Rock at Whiteface :-) Scott and Vicki Secor"
