"Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. All good except the breakfast food. Eggs were very powdery, and other food were below average as well. Another family seating next to our table were also complaining about the food, and ended up throwing away more than half.
I would stay again, but we would like to see the improvements on the breakfast items."
"I’ll rate it on a scale of price to value ratio. For that it was very good. Safe area around a bunch of businesses and centrally located with easy access to the prime spots of Tuscaloosa. The mattress was comfortable and it was quiet and maintained well. Free breakfast is a nice bonus to get some snacks."
Courtyard by Marriott Northport University of Alabama
8/10 Good
"I was recommended this place by family, it was definitely a nice comfortable place to stay in the area. Just a few cons…
The WiFi did not log on with room number, I was getting my kids to sleep so I asked n in the morning. They said they changed the WiFi, so they gave me an access code. My thing is, why did no one think to give this when we checked in? If that was the case. They think only certain ppl want the WiFi?
Secondly, you have to pay for everything at the bistro for breakfast. It’s like a restaurant. Even the Starbucks machine, which is like automatic hot coffee. You have to pay full price for they add it to your room number. My old apart had the same machine complimentary. You may as well go around the corner to the real Starbucks for coffee.
My thing is, you’re paying enough, Marriott makes enough, than to nickel and dime customers for WiFi and coffee, minimum. Not to mention free breakfast is not a thing."
"The staff is extremely nice!! The room cleanliness was flawless!! Only thing I'd say that could improve are things that'll change with upcoming renovations...paint touch ups, roll-away bed was older than expected. Room was cleaned after first night, which is rare in this day and age. I'd stay again for sure."
"Liked being able to park in front of the room (it was a motel, not hotel). We had a cooler and luggage to haul in. Even though it was right next to the highway, it was very quiet.
Bed was comfy and breakfast was good, sausage and eggs with all the other options…cereal, bagels, etc.
There was a lot for RV’s and trucks, as well"
