"Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. "🌟 DoubleTree Hotel – Honest Guest Review Overall, I had a good stay at the DoubleTree Hotel. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were friendly throughout our visit. In particular, a lovely lady working in the restaurant made our experience even better. I didn’t get her name, but her kindness and professionalism stood out. The dinner was delicious, and the service made it feel even more special. When we first arrived, the room wasn’t as clean as expected, which was disappointing. However, once we raised the issue, the team responded quickly and cleaned it very well. After that, the overall cleanliness was okay, and we were able to enjoy the rest of our stay comfortably. In summary, DoubleTree offered a pleasant experience with great staff and lovely food. With a bit more attention to initial room cleanliness, it would be even better."

"The bedroom was clean but there were a lot of stains on soft furnishings and the carpet etc. The carpet was very worn and bjnched in places - this should be looked at as this could trip up another custome. The spa and pool look loke it would have been lovely back in the day but it needs to be maintained - this does not seem to be the case. The back stairs and carpets were dirty as were the walls of the hallways. There was what looked like a leak through the ceiling of the stairs to the east of the buildings, where the plaster of the walls had peeled away and stains ran down from this. The staff were all polite. We probably wouldn't have seen the backstairs etc. But unfortunately the lift on that side of the building was not working so we needed to. This hotel has the potential to be great ..... - the family room was a fantastic size and had good amenities. The beds were OK in terms of comfort. The windows were falling apart a little and you could hear the traffic very clearly from the room. With some cleaning and a little update this would make a big change."

"A perfect hotel for a stopover for a wedding in Stoke. A reasonable priced hotel even in comparison with the local Travelodge. Even got breakfast for 3 people for an extra £18. Room was big and bathroom lovely with an excellent walk in shower. Would highly recommend. The only downside was the charge for the carpark. Not sure that is really necessary if you are a hotel guess."

"The hotel was beautifully decorated and had a very authentic feel. The staff were lovely, so polite and welcoming, willing to answer any questions and help you when needed. It was located in the centre of Bakewell near all the shops and bus stops. It was the perfect place to stay while in Bakewell."
