"Incredible 10 day stay at Kuramathi - with our 3 year old daughter!
Highlights:
We chose Kuramathi partly because of the kids club, which was even better than expected. It's much bigger than the website photos suggest, with two splash pads and a pool with slide, a garden, and lovely indoor play area. Our daughter loved it so much and kept requesting to go back. The staff are fun, caring and engaging. Huge thanks to Konnie, Rashma, Rachelle and Sara for making Wren feel so happy and secure.
We were full board and ate at the buffet restaurants, rather than a la carte. The food was exceptional, better than any other buffet we have eaten at. The breakfast almond croissants deserve a special mention!
The house reef is huge, wrapping three quarters of the island. While some parts have suffered slightly bleaching, there are numerous healthy varieties of coral. The fish life is incredible, and there is a huge population of black tip reef sharks. Access is easy from the beach or jetty - even our toddler could do it. Watching the black tips hunting fish from the jetty was such a highlight.
Rasdhoo Dive Centre was excellent - we did a refresher dive on the reef, Wata was an excellent guide. We also did the Madivaru Dive, famous for white tip reef sharks, which was stunning.
The excursions are excellent, well worth the money. We swam with manta rays on two separate snorkelling boat trips, which was an unforgettable experience."
"My husband and I had a lovely time at the hotel. The staff are all friendly and go out their way to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is new and spacious. The restaurants are all good with a lot of variety, the Indian was excellent and our favourite. I would recommend this hotel if you just want to chill and relax…"
"Everything was absolutly amazing. Especially Wendy was great - always around but never to pushy/intrusive. Rooms & Facilities feel new and on a high standard. Absolutly recommending the Ocean Pool Villas and the direct entry of the house riff. You can see sharks, stingrays and eagle sharks as well as a lot of other fishs."
"The whole resort was just a pleasure to stay at. It was spotless and the customer service was amazing. Have to say that Chandana, Asela, Jesica, Ann, Naif, Saddam and Saleem, were exceptional in their care and Vipdla looked after us well in the restaurant.
The house reef was lovely and the fish were amazing to watch and swim with.
The rooms were lovely and the care for the Island was great to see, the attention to detail to make the stay perfect made the whole break so relaxing, exactly as you imagine it to be."
"Staff were friendly and very helpful. Small touches made the stay very welcoming. Welcome drink, welcome greeting sharing all the info about the hotel and the island. Beautiful beach access. Room was spacious and included many free water refills. "
"Room was nice and big, however, a few things missing. No mini fridge for cold water. No hand towels in the bathroom. Light in shower didn’t work either. No place to rinse your feet before walking into room, since the door leads straight onto sand.
Overall a pleasant stay, great location, just some small things that could make a huge difference. "
"The place is pretty nice, but what really makes it great is the staff. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Very relaxed about things. Just a nice "at home" vibe"
