"We arrived on a sat excited to sit by the pool and have a drink. We were quickly told by the hostess that we couldn’t sit in the open table areas without a reservation. It was near the fireplace and no one was sitting there. She was little help and was very rude. Poor first impression. We then continued to make our way to the pool bar to get a drink and the bartender was nearly as rude. Will not return for price we paid."
"This is an older hotel, however it is very well maintained and the rooms and baths are modern. It has a charming atmosphere and a beautiful court yard area with lots of seating. Each floor had a station with a coffee maker, ice, fresh fruit and bottled water for your convenience. The hotel is also centrally located. I would recommend the Emeline!"
"Do not expect what you pay Expedia to be your rate: The hotel charged us $71 in resort fees and tax above what we paid Expedia for 2 nights! I have never experienced that!
In addition: the ac unit in our room leaked pools of water on the floor in our room soaking through shoes and anything on the floor. The front desk staff blamed us saying, “you shouldn’t turn ac above 72” when the floor was already soaked and slippery when we checked in.
They finally agreed to move us for 2nd night but we were moved to another room where the bathroom door would not close. Then, on check out they charged us $71 above what we paid Expedia! Terrible, and kind of ruined what should have been a nice beach trip."
"Room needed a deep clean. I notified staff asap and they said they’d take care of it the next day (we stayed five nights). Nothing was done. Slimy bathtub floor, hair in shower when we got there, nasty caulk. We paid nearly $300/night. Felt like a hotel that was run down and they put some lipstick on it. Wouldn’t go back for the price we paid."
"The doorman service was exceptional. The room had lovely amenities along with enough water bottles and coffee pods added every night without asking for it."
