"unbelievably great for your family. The kids pool is so safe; knee depth, rubber type, non slip flooring which was incredible! never seen any rubbish or dog mess at any point during our 9nights which was shocking because any self catering holiday in the uk we’ve been to is usually covered in filth. Activities, restaurants, and the supermarket were really good prices, like €12 for a full day of bike hire and €11 for a large pizza. "We stayed in the Rose Accommodation. It was roomy compared to others we have stayed in. Air con was essential due to the weather, took a bit of time to cool the place down to begin with. The large bed wasn’t very comfortable as it dipped in the middle. Perfect base to end our time in lake Garda. The campsite was quite chilled but still had animation team etc. pool opens 10-1 and 2-7 that break in the day is really good as it means people can’t take sunbeds all day and everyone gets the opportunity to be by the pools. The lifeguards are the fun police no inflatables or ball games in the pool. Over tall nice stay"

"We had a brilliant stay at Hotel Serenella. The location is ideal - you’re in the old town, next to the Lake, near the ferry terminal yet it’s tucked away nicely so it’s peaceful. The staff were excellent, super friendly, and there to help with anything you need. The hotel has its own private pier which is great to have to go for a dip during the hottest hours of the day!! Overall, great hotel and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Lake Garda/Sirmione!"

Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort

"This was a family holiday- Mum, Dad and two teenage daughters- 16 and 19. We were there for 12 nights. The hotel is in an excellent position, by the lakeside. You can walk across and swim from the hotel in under 5 minutes, which is ideal. Breakfast was a good selection buffet and the pool bar did a good range of sandwiches/salads for lunch. Happy hour was 2 for 1 on "spritz's" We didn't do the lunch or dinner but both looked a bit heavier and fussier than we wanted. The staff everywhere were really helpful, especially at reception in terms of helping with transport or booking excursions. There is a shuttle bus to Bardolino that runs 4 or 5 times a day and the last trip back out is 8.30pm. The walk to Bardolino is about 20 minutes, depending on how fast you want to walk in the heat. If you go the other way, then Cisano is only 5 to 10 minutes walk and there are 3 or 4 good restaurants there. There a 4 pools altogether- the 2 main ones are large and the lifeguards do make sure there are no ball games or inflatables- seems a bit harsh but those things are allowed in the other 2 pools and does leave the main pools feeling a bit more grown up. There are a lot of sun loungers but people do tend to "book them" with their towel early on so beware! There is an indoor pool for thundery days too. Overall, this was an excellent hotel, comfortable, clean and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay."

"We had a great last minute stay for 5 nights, the reception staff and cleaners were great and very helpful. Weren’t very pleased about being charged for sunbeds while we stayed, even if you would be using for an hour, life guards who asked for the money were miserable. Also the orangery restaurant staff were rude and ignorant. So would have been a 5 but this made it a 4"
