"We were warmly welcomed like old friends by the wonderful owners, Jackie & John. We had high expectations given the positive reviews, & we were not disappointed. John gave us an overview of the history of the house which was a lovely touch. They are rightly proud of their beautiful property, which exudes class, quality & great attention to detail. The room was spacious with clean lines & classic decor, the most comfortable bed with sumptuous linens & a spacious en suite, again with quality towels & toiletries. The hospitality tray was well stocked, with fresh milk in the fridge outside of our room. Breakfast was beautifully cooked with quality ingredients & absolutely delicious accompanied with great tea, coffee & fresh juices. Honestly nothing was too much trouble for Jackie & John & we cannot fault anything. Already planning our return visit! Absolutely first class in every aspect. Thank you for making our stay fantastic!"

"This is an old-fashioned, sixties-style B&B that's a bit dated but that did not affect our stay because everything was really clean. The bedding smelled lovely and the bed was very comfortable. It was incredibly quiet with no road noise. The decor and carpets are a bit old but well maintained and the carpets were well vacuumed. The bathroom is shared but there is an extra toilet in case it's occupied (it was always free when we needed it) and bathroom was kept really clean. Janet was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely book again. There's no hairdryers in the rooms but there is a kettle and chips, but you need to bring tea and coffee, which is perfectly reasonable when the rooms are so competitively priced. Overall, I would recommend it"
