"This is the second time we’ve stayed at this Ayres and both times it has been EXCELLENT!!! The rooms are clean and well-kept. Nothing is broken. The staff is very friendly. When you need something, they are very quick to get it to you (extra towels, blankets, etc.). The pool is warmer than you would expect of an outdoor pool. The breakfast is a good variety. They usually cook scrambled eggs (& scrambled w/veggies), sausage, and country potatoes. You can make your own Belgian waffles. They have coffee & three different juices. Finally, there are various bread items, pastries, yogurt, and such. This hotel is better than some of the $300-400 hotels we’ve stayed in. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!"

"Pros: Not a 4 or 5 star type of hotel, but it’s a very nice 3 star place with a small, but full kitchen including a full sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and stove top with pots, pans, etc. Also, BBQs to use around the complex. Clean and warm indoor swimming pool and hot jacuzzi. Helpful staff. On site washer and dryer (did not use) which maybe free or charged to your room. Location is next to Big Bear Lake. Nice bath towels, washing liquids, and decent pool towels. Free WiFi in the rooms (so so) and popcorn in the lobby. Cons: The parking lot could be a bit bigger and have more direct stairs from the parking lot to the front doors of the units. So even if u are parked in front of your unit, u have to walk around a long fence. The living room sofa beds are showing their age. The DirectTV in the rooms doesn’t have that many good channels."
