"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Service and a Wonderful Stay! I had a great experience during my stay last night! What truly made my visit stand out was Aretha, the night clerk. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, professional, and attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and taken care of, and her kindness made a lasting impression on me. It’s not every day you encounter someone who genuinely takes pride in their job and makes guests feel valued. Aretha is a true asset to this hotel, and she deserves recognition for the excellent customer service she provides. Employees like her are what make guests want to return! "Lovely historic house with beautiful antique furnishings! Spacious well appointed room and bath with A/C. On site free parking. Wonderful truly homemade breakfast served in beautiful main dining room. Burnette is a fabulous host! Highly recommend!"

"The property was located in a quiet area of town situated on a city block of property. We wanted something off the beaten path and this was perfect! We stayed in the cottage. Bed was comfy. The antique furniture fit in nicely and gave you that step back in time feeling. There was an issue with the AC during the night and it quit working but it was tolerable as the temps outside were in the 70’s and the ceiling fan in our room kept the air moving. We loved the property. We felt it could use some minor TLC in certain areas. But we understand that also comes with old houses and their character. We did not go to the big house to check the porch out there. But it looked inviting. Breakfast at Charles Cafeteria and Grill was good. Mayberry vibe with locals meeting for coffee and small talk. Friendly staff and good food. I would stay there again if ever in that area and hope to check out the main house. We pray the owner continues to have success with this property as it’s a great opportunity for people looking for something out of the ordinary."
