"From checkin to departure this family owned hotel was a pleasure to stay at. It has an amazing view of the Duoro valley and beautiful accommodations. They have a heated pool and asmall restaurant with amazing home cooked food! But best of all was the hospitality, Sergio is terrific. We highly recommend it!!!"

"Absolutely breathtaking property, very charming with its rustic character. The garden was out of dream highly recommend sitting out there and watching the sunset. Lots of super friendly cats that roam the outside of the property. The rooms were lovely bed was comfortable and the staff were wonderful. Will be thinking of this property until I return!"

" This was our second stay at Hotel de Moura. It is a throwback to a more elegant era. The floors, ceilings and walls exhibit craftmanship that would be difficult to reproduce today.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It has convenient parking and is an easy 6 minute walk from the historic center and castle.
The only downside is the lack of an elevator. The receptionist offered to carry our bags to our room. We are seniors and carried our bags up as we were travelling light.
We will definitely stay there again."

"A magical quiet location that we returned to after our 1st visit 8 years ago. We loved the new pool, bar and restaurant. The staff are amazing while they seemed overwhelmed with the volume of work. "

"It is a beautiful property. However, if you are not staying here with small children you may be disappointed. The hotel clearly markets itself as very child and family friendly, and it has dedicated children’s areas that are very close to main areas such as the dining room. As a result it is not peaceful in many areas of the property. Even dedicated adult swimming pool hours in the spa are not respected by guests with their children. And the dining room at dinner was not at all peaceful. They should work toward separating the noise from main areas, as they have plenty of space. Also, one should avoid Room 207 as it is adjacent to the housekeeping staging area and one can hear noises of the linen carts throughout the day. "
