"We booked through Expedia only a couple of days ahead of requirement, .... we got our dates at a very good price, and when we turned up was very pleasantly surprised on the quality of accommodation and location. The room was very neatly furnished, the bed was good, shower good, plenty of room for luggage. Excellent all round."

"The hotel is just ok since it needs some maintenance and paint work all over. Check in staff was not welcoming at all. No interaction but to request for our passports only and give us our room key. Literally, that and picking your keys from a box in an envelope with our names on it, would've been the same. Amenities felt poor considering that it's a 4 star hotel. I have stayed at lower category hotels and had more room amenities than this one. Thus, I guess this is a good enough option if you only need a place to sleep. "

"This was our second visit to Las Terrazas and we were slightly disappointed when we left. The guy on reception was quick but had no joie de vivre. The room was OK but we both woke up next morning complaining about the memory foam mattress. The cafe food was very strange. We ordered a pizza which was nice but the order of chips saw a serving of over cooked chips with a great dollop of, what we think was tomato sauce topped with a large spoonful of mayonnaise/ali oli. They went back and very quickly were replaced by chips. The same last visit though we ordered differently, the chef seems unable to serve anything without over saucing. One big plus is the filling station on the same plot. Very cheap fuel on the doorstep. We used the hotel as an overnight stop from the south to Santander. It is just a perfect distance for the 2pm ferry. Over all. Cheap and cheerful. We might return next time. "

"The main issue with this hotel was that their reception is now not in the hotel, but down the road in-town, in a bar just behind the local hairdressers, about 5 mins' walk away. They sign this up in English on the former reception door, but it certainly helps to have some Spanish when looking for the current reception office in the local bar. There was only someone working as a receptionist after 2,30PM, and she operates out of a small kiosk that sells cigarettes and vapes at the back of the bar. We were going to wait for when we were there to decide if we wanted breakfast, but as we hadn't pre-booked we were told we would have to buy breakfast in one of the local bars. It appears that the hotel breakfasts are a smallish selection of tapas, while the local bars easily provided what we needed. There is a secure parking area c.50 metres from the hotel. The locals were very friendly, the room was well appointed, and very clean, and once you understand how it operates it works well."

"Overall a lovely place and well located. If shabby chic is your thing, perfect. But shabby chic 20 years later is dates and needs updated."
