Really nice clean modern room with a handy kitchenette we had the balcony so nice to look towards mountains and sea. Quiet due to low visitors due to COVID-19.

Lux Apart is a real find for staying near City Center Reykjavik. We made good use of the kitchenette for cooking small meals and preparing bag lunches for our daily outings. The location is great, and the room itself spacious, modern, and well maintained. Lilja, the manager of the apartments, went out of her way to see that we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome.

Great place outside the main city.

It was a great place to stay, very clean, very modern, we had a nice patio with a view of the ocean. The café they recommended across the street was great. The bed was comfy, it had a microwave, refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and private bath. I'd definitely stay there again.

Lux can be considered if u are driving.

LUX though there’s no reception service, the response through email is quick with details. In general the room condition is good for short stay. The only concern is - there’s no elevator to the above ground levels. Have to walk up the stairs, makes it difficult to bring the luggage up and down. Location is close to the city centre by driving.

Comfortable apartment in nice location

The apartment was spacious and very well kept.The service was excellent and the staff super friendly. A parking space was provided and the Kopavogur area is easy to reach by car. The apartment is right next door to local amenities (bakery, supermarket, ice cream parlour, fast food).

Need a car to get into city but there is a grocery store and restaurants on next road. Very nice, updated room. Small, if you are actually looking for an "apartment" as it is more like a hotel room with a refrigerator (larger than expected), cooking utensils and microwave. Quiet area and was relaxing for the 5 days I as there. Easy check-in / out with access codes. Very friendly and responsive manager.

The property was in a very clean and welcoming condition when we arrived and the lady at the contact desk was very helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect as it is not in the main city but is only a 5-10 minute drive away. There’s plenty of shops nearby to get food for your stay and plenty of restaurants too.

Great, comfortable self-catering accommodation just a 10 minute drive from Reykjavic. Really clean and modern with good facilities. We never met the owner/manager as there’s no reception but they were helpful via email. Location is great if you have a car (not so much otherwise). It’s a few km from Reykjavík proper

Our stay at the Lux Apart was absolutely fine - everything was super clean and well-appointed, the beds were quite comfortable and Lilja was just terrific - she immediately took care of getting the Wifi back online and even graciously offered us champagne glasses to toast the New Year in style :-) The glassed-in balcony provided a perfect front row view of the spectacular New Year's fireworks. Would definitely recommend this property as a great place to stay while visiting Iceland. Takk!

Worth the visit

What a cute place to stay that is managed by the most caring people possible. We were so lucky to have chosen this location. You get a mini kitchen area, a glassed in balcony, great amenities, and easy access to get everywhere. Would stay here again.

Die vorherige Kommunikation war sehr gut und ausführlich. Der erste Eindruck der Unterkunft war ebenfalls sehr positiv. Nach dem ersten Eindruck jedoch kam die Ernüchterung. Die "Küche" bestand aus zwei Schubfächern, Besteck und Teller samt Herzstück Mikrowelle... Da wir uns etwas zum Kochen mitgenommen haben, war dies natürlich ein Reinfall. Dann hatte ich vor Ort versucht Kontakt aufzunehmen. Die Managerin hatte sich dann nicht mehr gemeldet und nicht mehr zurück gerufen, was mich persönlich sehr gewundert hat. Auch das Bett war eher unbequem. Daher können wir dieses Guesthouse nicht besser bewerten und es eher im Mittelfeld unserer Reise liegt.

Great room just a bit outside the center

We generally liked the room, it was modern and tidy. We somehow thought by the pictures that there is a separate bedroom and living room, but there's only one big room with a kitchen corner. The room is very nice and spacious though. There's also a big glass balcony with view, two chairs and a table, but it was too cold to use in October. A simple heater, infrared for instance, would help greatly to extend the balcony usage beyond the short Icelandic summer. The kitchen corner is modern, with a capsule coffee machine and microwave oven. You need to know how to cook food in microwave, since there is no ordinary stove or oven. This is a very tidy solution though, no food fumes and other mess in the room. There are also some restaurants and cafes nearby. The location is fine when arriving by rental car from Keflavik. There is free parking in the yard or by the street. The area Kopavogur is just outside Reykjavik, some minutes drive from the center. There is a safe in the room but it was locked and the instruction says " if you cannot open the safe, contact hotel reception". But there is no reception here. Maybe we should have called the hotel's info number, but it was somewhere in our travel documents. It would help if it's indicated somewhere in the room visibly. But this is just a detail, generally everything worked fine and the room was very nice.
