Room smelt of smoke but we think this was coming from another property through a vent. No sink plug for washing up. No wardrobe space in the second bedroom but plenty of space in the master bedroom (Walk in wardrobe!) Otherwise, everything was great! Two decent bedrooms, big comfortable living space, well equipped spacious kitchen, two good bathrooms. Great location near bus stop 12 and only a few mins walk from the seafront.

Parking garage was very convenient but be prepared for the expense of parking. This is all around Iceland so no escaping this cost. Apartment was very nice and modern. Had everything we needed for cooking and washing clothes and dishes.

The Sif apartments are really centrally located for Reykjavík points of interest. All are within walking distance, but the location is also very quiet. There are grocery stores nearby which offsets the high prices in Iceland. The apartments are clean, spacious and really well equipped. The washer dryer is especially useful as it means you can pack fewer clothes and get anything dry that falls victim to the Icelandic weather!

This was worth every penny! well aware that there are places that are cheaper but having space to cook and move about for the entire week we were there was worth. Both rooms and bathrooms were a good size. The washer and dryer were a great addition as we packed lighter and did small loads as needed. Basic dishes are supplied and a small frig is there with plenty of counter and cabinets space. Cant lie my husband and i wanted the walk in closet, lol. To get to old bus stop of many restaurants inside (cant recall the name) was 5-7 min was away. Bonus was 10-13 min walk away. So easy to walk and get around!

I recently had a fantastic stay at SIF apartments in Reykjavik and wanted to share my thoughts. The location is excellent, just a five-minute walk to the main Laugavegur street, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Plus, being close to the Hlemmur food hall and surrounded by restaurants and coffee shops made dining options a breeze. The only minor downside was the cost of parking in the building's underground lot, which could deter guests from leaving their cars there during the day. It would be great if SIF could negotiate a fixed rate with the parking owner for 24-hour or longer stays. As for the apartment itself, it was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The only issue we encountered was with the shower in the en suite bathroom, which wasn't entirely water-tight, leading to some water spilling onto the floor. However, we hope this is specific to the apartment we stayed in and not a common problem. Overall, our experience at SIF apartments felt like a home away from home during our five-night stay. Despite the minor parking and shower concerns, we would definitely choose to stay here again for the wonderful location and comfortable accommodations.

Clean and comfortable apartment with everything you need for cooking and laundry. It feels like home for our family with a teenager and kid. Everything is just a few minutes drive away. Access to the rooms is also convenient. Thank you for the pleasant stay, highly recommended!

Parking info is important
This was a very nice place to stay! It was located near a coffee shop, restaurants, a few blocks from a bonus grocery store. It is around the corner from Iceland tour bus pick up points! Stocked with all your home cooking needs! The area was so safe and family friendly with a small playground in front. We got all the information for the hotel as needed but the day after we checked in we got the information for parking trash and check out. The parking was the most important part because nothing is marked outside the building. But the parking garage is under the building do not park on the side and think you are fine you will get a ticket! I do not discredit the place for my lack of asking but it would have been nice to know so I am passing this on to you! It was very pricey to park my ticket was so much cheaper! Be prepared to pay! I paid 155 for two and half day to park the rest of my stay! Still would come back again and again!

Our family of four loved staying at this apartment. It was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything we needed. I appreciated the rental guide that explained where the entrance is, how the appliances work and how to manage the heat, as well as the rules for garbage and check out. We had no problem using the codes to enter the building. We never had to use the parking garage because we were always able to find street parking close to the building. Parking is free overnight and inexpensive during the day; we paid using an app. The immediate area is quiet with few shops, restaurants and bars but these are within walking distance. The grocery store was a short drive away. We would stay here again and definitely recommend these apartments!

I prepaid for the apartment and then days before the stay SIG apartments charged me again for the stay. When they realized the error they attempted to reimburse the payment. However at the end based on currency exchange I was reimbursed less $75US. How is that fair and why am I at the end penalized for a mistake that was not my fault. Useless apologies, I want my money back!!!!!

The layout was great for our family. We appreciated the onsite laundry, room darkening shades, heated floors and towel rack. Kitchen had nearly everything needed and the beds were comfortable. I tried contacting the team to request additional coffee (we received only 4 pods for our 7 night stay,) but did not receive a response. The shower was a bit slow to drain. The outdoor waste collection was often full and this seemed to cause issues for others as at times there was just waste blowing around from left bags.

Fantastic property. We had a two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment. We liked it so much that we canceled our other Reykjavik reservation for a different hotel for the 2nd half of our vacation so that we could come back to Sif instead. The area was very safe, parking was easy, and everything was within walking distance. The apartment was clean, spacious, and having a washer/dryer was very helpful. Highly recommend!

Apartment was exactly as listed. It was clean and spacious. A very detailed guide is provided with information about the apartment, building and area. Only recommendation is to provide fans. Windows in bedrooms don’t open very much and the nights felt quite warm where you had to sleep with the balcony and bedroom doors open for airflow.

The property was in a great location. There were 5 of us and it worked out great. The only glitch was they gave us the wrong door code, which meant we had to call international long distance and was quite expensive. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend it.

This is an apartment building. The pricing was that of a really nice hotel. There are no amenities and NO help. Upon arrival the code they gave us to enter did NOT work. Had to put on international phone @$10 to call and get in. Then large screen TV didn’t work (remote control) couldn’t use either tv. Took them 5 days and many e mails and calls to get them to do that. We each received 1 towel for the week. Coffee maker came with enough pods for one day. Impossible to purchase them at any local store. Again took days and calls to get more from management. Shower was vlogged up, they never fixed it, we did it!!! Manager came over and promised a nice “gift” to make up for all the inconveniences. Said we would receive a call. I e mailed several times (just reply to one of their previous e mails) never responded once. We were treated like we were at a budget accommodation!! The price was that of at least a 4 star hotel.
