Tyr apartments were very clean and in a good location, close to many restaurants and shops. We would of given the apartments 5 out of 5, the only problem was the bedroom window has a large gap between the window and the wall. The gap had been partly filled with tape and paper but this didnt stop a very cold draft coming through, we could also hear a lot of street noise through this gap, which woke us up several times. This would not stop us recommending this property as everything else was excellent.

Tyr Apartment ideal location
A very warm apartment quite well equipped , however no kettle and the micro wave was situated in a very high cupboard above the fridge freezer. It was impossible to reach without standing on a chair, (so we didn't ) There were spare duvets and pillows however no spare covers. everything was very clean but some wall tiles in the bathroom were about to fall off. The location was very good, within easy walking distance of the harbour and centre. there was a handy corner shop at the end of the street.

Loved Tyr apartments - had everything you could ever need to cook your own meals… even gave extra bedding for couch to convert for more sleeping space. Perfectly located near downtown and city center and plenty of street parking around. 10/10

One bedroom apartment in a very central district, walking distance to the main tourist street. On ground floor on a corner, so not the quietest, and also need to keep blinds down so people cannot look in. Could not work out how to close the sofa bed.

There was no proper cleaning done prior to our arrival. Toilet is dirty and rubbish left uncleaned. We paid for 4 pax but the apartment only serve 3 pax. The double sofa bed was given bedsheet that doesn’t fir, single bedsheet was given instead of double. We informed the hotel personnel to do housekeeping the next day but they never came. In fact, they asked us to collect the new set of towels on our own at the store room. We have paid for cleaning but there is no housekeeping throughout. And definitely no free parking, wrong info in their posting. Bad bad real bad. Will never stay there again. Con-ster.

Great place to stay in downtown Reykjavik
Great place to stay in downtown Reykjavik. The place is spacious and comfortable with lots of places to store clothes, a closet for your outdoor gear and everything you need in the kitchen area to make a quick breakfast. Despite it being really cold outside we barely needed the heating on as well.

Amazing stay at Tyr Apartments
The apartment was amazing. Very clean, veey comfortable beds. We hadn't anticipated a roll away bed but we had one which was great! Close to everything downtown in walking distance. Would greatly recommend. Also had a keypad so no keys to carry around:)

The outside of the building was run-down looking, but the inside of the apartment was clean and nice. Overall, given the price, I would recommend it, but it would be nice if the city would do a better job of eliminating graffiti in this particular neighborhood.

The kitchen was excellent and we were able to self cater the entire time we stayed there. The check-in and security code access was very straight forward and convenient. Beds were comfortable and everything well appointed. Very convenient walking to anywhere in the city. We had a rental car for part of our stay, and we were able to find free parking by night and on the weekend on the street. On the weekday, we parked for free near the Hallgrímskirkja as their instructions suggested, and walked to the apartment (less than 10 minutes). The only challenge we had was street noise. The windows let a lot of sound through - we could hear parties, as well as cars passing through the night, and it was loud enough to wake us up - but I expected this with a location in such a central part of the city, so it's not a big deal. It's just worth being aware of if there are light sleepers. The bedroom that backed on to Grettisgata was much quieter than the other one.

Apartment is spacious and comfortable. Everything was cleaned and in great condition. The only downside was that we were up in the third floor and there is no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs.

Thomsen is set up like an apartment building with about 8 units. There is no elevator, so stairs are mandatory. I think each unit has a balcony, but it’s either a one bed room apartment with at least 2 beds or a 2 bed room apartment and each one has a pull out sofa. The unit was very clean and had a nice homey vibe to it. There was no front desk and no housekeeping, but everything needed for your stay is provided upon check in ie towels, toilet paper, bed linens, kitchen supplies.

This is a gorgeous apartment just a block or so from main tourist street in Reykjavik. It was modern and clean, and a nice courtyard balcony. We had a bit of confusion finding the check-in email, but the property managers answered our call right away and sorted it out. We found parking fairly easily just one street over. Would definitely come back.

Do your own thing in Great location
Stylish apartment in a great location for everything. Eating out in Reykjavík can be very expensive so this offers the opportunity to eat ‘at home’ for some meals (shop at nearby Bonus supermarket) and make picnic lunches for day tours. We were in ‘Deluxe one bedroom with balcony’ (apt 201) - main bed was very comfy, sofa bed in living room not as much, but good enough! Self check-in is easy, and Maria (in the office) is very attentive, responding promptly whenever I emailed with question. We’d go back for sure.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist super. Auch ist die Wohnung geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Das Babybett wurde uns nach telefonischer Anfrage schnell zugestellt. Allerdings nicht aufgebaut. Es war leider nicht sauber, sehr staubig und am Nachttisch lag ein alter Kaugummi. Die Toilette sollte auch besser gereinigt werden.

Die Wohnung ist super Zentral! An der Lage kann man nichts aussetzen! Leider war die Wohnung nicht wirklich sauber geputzt, krümel in der Küche und Staub als wir das Sofabett beziehen mussten. Die Haustür ist defekt, und ein Fesnster im Schlafzimmer lässt sich nicht schliessen. Die Wohnung eignet sich hervorragend für 1-2 Nächte und besser für 2 als für 4 Personen, da es auch nur 2 Kaffee Löffel gibt :))

아이슬란드 물가에 비해 숙박업소의 가격은 저렴했습니다. 잠깐만 걸으면 구도심에 닿을 수 있는 좋은 위치를 가진 숙소였습니다. 실내에서 신발 사용이 금지였으며 러그가 깔리지 않아 청결해보였습니다. 아늑한 싱글침대 2개와 포근한 구스이불이 비치되어 있었고 난방이 잘되어 지내기 편리했습니다. 추가 침구가 비치되어 있어 3명의 가족이 지내기 좋았습니다. 큰 냉장고와 식기세척기 그리고 충분한 양의 세제가 있어 주방 사용이 편리했습니다. 다만, 새까맣게 타버린 냄비가 그대로 수납장에 비치되어 있었으며 이는 식기가 청소가 된 상태인지 궁금하게 했습니다. 또한 텔레비전의 전원을 켤 수 없어 이용할 수 없었습니다. 따듯한 물이 잘 나와서 샤워하기 좋았으나 샤워부스 이용 시 물이 사방으로 튀어서 화장실에는 늘 물이 있었고 3장 정도 제공된 수건은 여유가 없었습니다. 유럽 대부분의 호스트가 왓스앱이나 에어비앤비 챗을 통해 바로바로 소통할 수 있는 반면 해당 숙박업소는 호스트와의 의사소통 수단이 전화뿐이라 정말 불편했습니다.

Detalladas indicaciones por mail para hacer el checking. El apartamento precioso pero no tiene ascensor y subir 4 pisos con las maletas muy incomodo. El sofá cama estupendo muy bueno y muy nuevo. Lo único el menaje de la cocina muy escaso de platos, cubiertos y vasos solo 4 -5 de casa con lo que tenías que lavar o poner el lavavajillas tras cada comida.
