"Absolutely fantastic place , couldn’t fault it if I wanted to . Really peaceful and was great just to sit back and listen to the wildlife . We also went for a walk to the waterfall. I would recommend it to anyone. Jack , the host was also fantastic, he couldn’t do enough for us . Can’t wait to return . "

"We had a lovely stay, the place was nice, it was close to some lovely walks on the beach and in nature parks. We liked our hot tub but it was just a tad too hot and it wouldn’t cool down with the controls, we even left the top open and it stayed at 40 degrees, we couldn’t stay in for very long. The shower was either boiling or freezing but we still enjoyed and can’t wait to go back some day :)"

"My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc on. wifi connection great. Don't wear sliders on your feet when trying to do the fire or else you will slip on the mud which is hilarious to a teenager btw. Hot tub takes about 4 hours to...

"The Coach House is a lovely property with incredible views.
The property was immaculate and lots of consideration given to travellers. The welcome pack was much appreciated and Chris could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. I loved the upside down style and it did not affect the views. The house is cosy and welcoming at the end of a long day.
Chris has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Chris x"

"Owner met us at the property , she is so friendly and helpful. She gave us ideas where to go and lives nearby if you do need anything.
Easter cakes and chocolate had been left for us together with milk for that first all important cuppa.
The cottage was immaculately clean
Well equipped kitchen.
Plenty of towels and hot water
Beautiful setting in a small village with a homely pub across the road that does great food "

"The bed was super comfy, the breakfast was really good and the staff were the happiest and friendliest that we have ever come across in a hotel. Thank you everyone for making our stay so relaxed and enjoyable"
"We loved the rooms and the hotel. It is in a great location and there is good underground parking albeit £20 pn. Some of the rooms and areas are starting to look a little bit tatty in places. The chair I sat on in the dining area was quite disgusting. It was covered in stains. I would not bother with the breakfast. It is really terrible. We had the continental offering.Porridge tasted like the milk had gone off and took about 30 minutes from order to serving. My husband ordered toast and it was stole cold when it arrived. It didn't even melt the butter slightly the continental breakfast menu had been changed since our last stay 3 weeks prior. We thought it was very bad last time but this is even worse. There were no capuccinos. They were replaced by 2 urns of stale coffee and hot water for the make your own cup of tea. Sliced fruit was replaced by whole fruit. A women on the next table helped herself to 2 bananas and 2 large plums from the fruit bowl and put them in her bag. This falling standards and cost cutting must be loosing the hotel many of it customers."
"Have stayed here many times, but this time I felt they were cutting corners - no biscuits with the coffee tray in the room, and this morning at breakfast most of the fruit juice cannisters were empty, and very little fruit on offer.
I do not feel the bath is suitable for older people. I am 81 and had difficulty getting into the shower as the bath is so high. Its a good job there is a grab rail because the bath was so slippy to stand in to have a shower. Getting back out was also very difficult - the paper bath mat is not fit for purpose, ( another example of cutting corners)as it slipped on the tiled floor, and I felt unsafe. I spoke to Reception about this and at my request they provided me with a non slip rubber mat for the bath.
Breakfast and dinner were to a good standard.
Because of the problems I encountered, I am not sure if I want to stay again."
"Our room was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The Hotel was interesting, quirky and "different " from the norm. There were different areas to enjoy both in and outside. The decor was amazing. The restaurant was accessible and again quirky in design. The food was delicious 😋. All Staff were friendly and helpful. "
"Unfortunately my experience in room 414 last night was not good, there was an annoing continuous sound all night up above the room( not the air conditioning unit ss this was off) also the bed was unsteady. Each time my husband or i moved it disturbed the other person. This resulted in myself not having a good nights rest . Shame as all previous visits to the Grosvenor have been amazing ."
"Beautiful place. The room was spacious and the bathroom updated. The building and the pub downstairs is very nice. Location is perfect to see everything Chester has to offer."
