"Beautiful historic hotel in a very cool, old walled city. Staff was extremely friendly & helpful, decor & architecture are terrific, & a wonderful breakfast included. Couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Laguardia."

"Being a 4 star hotel, our room was never at a comfortable level. The air conditioner was not turned on prior to our arrival. Even two star hotels anticipate a guest arrival. We could not get the room cool during the night so we did cut our reservation short and left a day early. The lobby is lovely. The restaurant bar and breakfast excellent."

"I cannot recommend this hotel. Staff is not welcoming. Our room overlooked a ramshackled building in the back. I went and complained about the view and was offered a different room, but was told to basically expect that because we had after all booked a “standard room, and through Hotels.com”. There were 10 cars in the parking lot, so not many guests, but I was also told that because I only booked for 1 night, the other rooms were reserved for guests that were arriving the next day who had booked for 2 nights. I was offered an upgrade for an additional fee. Our room had no closet to speak off (concrete cubby with 5 hangers). There was not enough light, (they had to come and replace one or the 5 miniature halogeen lamps). Breakfast was included and we were the first to arrive in the morning. We were told to sit at any table we wanted, but then were quickly told that we could only use a table without glasses on them. So we moved. Weird! Cups for your coffee had no saucers, so you put them directly on your tablecloth. I could go on, but whoever reads this will quickly understand that this is an overrated hotel without proper hospitality. I asked for a bill/reciept on departure, but was told that they couldn’t give one (even though they asked for my credit card on arrival) because I had after all pre-paid through Hotels.com. So why did they need a credit card? I left with a dismissed feeling."

"Nice hotel for a one night stop. Spacious room, comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Tasty complementary breakfast, limited but nice, There’s a restaurant directly across the road which is convenient if you want a few drinks or dinner as there’s not much else around."
