"We loved the historic nature of the hotel and its proximity to everything we wanted to see in Richmond. Staff was very friendly and Annabelle the cat was a hit with my daughter. I wanted to love everything about the experience but the condition of the hotel was a bit disappointing. There were unpatched holes in the walls and dirty/uneven wallpaper in the room. There were also several areas of the hotel that showed signs of work in progress with plywood propped on walls and a ceiling panel lying on the floor. The guest chair in our room was broken and unsafe to sit in. We would love to try staying here in the future but I hope they give some much needed TLC to the rooms and space. "
