Me and my husband visited in may and we found the hotel great. In an ideal location as close to ipanema side and slightly away from The main cocopabana strip. Also walking distance to lots of food and bars. Also has a lovely rooftop which we enjoyed for relaxing drinks with views of copabana ...

Hotel Astoria Ipanema (antigo Mar Ipanema)
The location was great. I liked the small town vibe. A very good gelato place was across the street. Highly recommended!

El hotel destaca claramente por su ubicación frente a la playa en Copacabana, pero yo las habitaciones necesitan una renovacion total, los muebles estan viejos y deteriorados, los cuadros lamparas y cortinas se ven super antiguos.
