Of course I was not expecting the space of a 5 stars hotel but the room are extremely uncomfortable due to size. It is almost impossible to use the toilet in privacy as it is so small you barely can close the door. The shower has no privacy. Staff is friendly but not well trained. If you have a bit more to spend, look for a more comfortable place.

Pros: 1. Its location is excellent. 2. Although it's not a luxury hotel, it's confortable and convenient enough for all guests who need only a place to sleep and rest. 3. It's also worth the price. 4. Breakfast is excellent. 5. Hotel staff seems to be very courteous and well trained. Cons: 1. It lacks a minibar in the apartments. 2. It also lacks a piece of furniture where a guest can lock and keep safe any valuables while away from the hotel.

Condições ok por ser a categoria budget, mas achei o quarto e banheiro extremamente pequenos. O café da manhã relativamente bom. A entrada do lado de fora do hotel sempre com muito mal cheiro.

Although newly renovated with modern decor, the room was really small. And to accommodate the small room, all the furniture was also small, including a 3 foot x 1 foot desk and 12 inch x 9 inch bed ends. So, there was nothing to put your stuff, including luggage on; not even an inexpensive, foldable luggage rack.

Actually Ibis Budget RJ Praia de Botafogo was closed due to covid19 and you are accommodated in Novotel RJ Praia de Botafogo just next door at no extra cost. Great stay from the start to the end. I even extended my stay. Next time I am in Rio I would book this hotel. Plus the area is very nice with lots of shops, bars, restaurants and easy access to Rio's points of interest.

I used two bedrooms during my stay and both had the same issue with the shower the temperature is unstable and keeps varying between too hot or cold.

The check-in guy was really friendly and expained everything well. He made me feel welcome. The room was ok, I could see the Christ statue from my window so very happy. The beach is just a block away and there are some bars nearby.

Good budget hotel, excellent location
Great budget hotel and exactly what we were after. Reception staff were really helpful, rooms were clean and well maintained, location was perfect for us, seemed to be right in the middle of everything. Only slight negative would be that the room was on the small side, but can't really complain due to the price of our stay.

Excellent budget hotel
Only 5 min away from metro and perfectly situated in middle between Copacabana and downtown. Botafogo beach is just a few minutes away from hotel with wonder views of Sugarloaf mountain. No complaints at all.

Iluminação do quarto ruim e quarto muito pequeno. Ar-condicionado bom, mas não tão silencioso. Internet muito boa!!! Achei o hotel seguro! Curiosidade negativa: as tomadas são 220v! Mas eles emprestam o transformador para 110v e secador de cabelo. Não tem toalha de rosto, nem xampu e condicionador. Café da manhã à parte, simples, mas gostoso. Sou vegana e fizeram um lanche vegano pra mim. Localização muito boa!!! No geral, minha estadia foi boa e o custo-benefício tb foi bom!

Boa estadia. Mas a viagem foi muito comprometida porque a empresa terceizada, responsável pelo estacionamento do hotel, sumiu com a chave do meu carro. Cerca de 40 minutos depois de eu ja ter feito o check out, encontraram a chave do veículo sobre uma das rodas do carro, colocada irresponsavelmente por um manobrista: enfim, uma zona, um serviço de quinta categoria. Bagunca. Muito constrangida, uma das gerentes, Raquel, pediu muitas desculpas. Detalhe: o manobrista, autor dessa bizarrice, não se econtrava no hotel na hora da confusão, e foi localizado através de telefonemas. Firam 40 minutos de muito stress.

Precisei sair do hotel durante a madrugada para comprar água potável, o sistema de autoatendimento do hotel não estava funcionando, e a recepção se recusou a me fornecer água para pagamento posterior. É um absurdo um hotel não fornecer água.
