I loved the location f this hotel, but they were renovating the pool and you could not use it. Throughout the day there as jack hammering going on till the lat3 afternoon. The breakfast was very poor and often later in the mornin*b there was little to,choose from. Wifi was poor which meant I often had to move move to the lobby to get reception

Everything was good at this hotel. One thing that was not satisfactory was the breakfast buffet. The selection of foods was good, however, the staff did not do a good job of keeping the food stocked and much of it was not available.

Thr friendly, helpful staff is one of the hallmarks of Royalty Rio. While staying there, i always knew that i could count on thr staff to be nothing less than hospitable.

The men at the front desk said they didn’t get a confirmation from Expedia even though I showed them my confirmation number. I was forced to wait an extra hour. Eventually they suggested I pay them directly for the room and they would cancel the Expedia reservation. They never canceled so I was double charged. I don’t trust this hotel.

Not very helpful
My stay was ok but my sister got sick in the middle of the trip and I requested a late check-out. The receptionist said the hotel was full and couldn’t even give us another room, not even if we paid for one. When we checked online they did have availability and we needed up booking for an extremely high price only to stay a few more hours in the hotel. Not very happy with the lack of support that I received from the hotel. The room wasn’t very clean as well.

I & Hotels.com contacted this hotel to change the booking to 2 person from one. No response. When we got there we were charged 300 reals/night for extra person! The Radisson charged me 100/extra person on the same week. The exchange rate at this hotel is criminal.its better across the street. Excursions are more expensive than nearby hotels. It’s Highway robbery ! Non existent online customer service. Not even a free water in the room!

This hotel has a perfect location in Copacabana. It is very close to the beach and sourrounded by lot of restaurants and shoping stores. Very safe place and very professional and friendly staff. We want to thank specially Carlos at front desk. He always was very helpful and kind with us. We are very satisfy with our time at this hotel. Breakfast was excellent with lot of choices of foods and drinks. Excellent rooms and conditions. We recommend this hotel to all travellers.

Good proximity to beaches at a comparatively budget price. Massive water flow from showers, including hot. Don't use the mini-bar. Rooms facing the street are noisy, ask for a room at the back.

Royalty Rio is an excellent Rio lodging choice! Located only 2 blocks from Copacabana Beach and within walking distance of metro stations, eating establishments, and shopping venues, this hotel offers guests an optimum location. Every staff person I encountered was helpful, informative, and professional. When i neeeded assitance regarding booked excursions, more than one front desk empoyee went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. I wouldn't hesitate one minute in choosing Royalty Rio again for a stay in beautiful Rio de Janeiro!

Reasonable hotel, very reasonable prices, clean rooms staff is excellent, there were problems with the room but the staff got them fixed immediately… The pool area on the 15th floor is very nice so take advantage of it if the beach is crowded that day… One negative point, the dinner restaurant is not good at all but the breakfast is reasonably good

Hotel located in a quiet street. It is basic but has very nice rooms with comfortable beds, something I've found rare in Brazil. The room is clean, the staff are very helpful and the location is great close to everything. They have a nice breakfast and can arrange tours if needed.

Convenient hotel in Copacabana
This property is conveniently located in Copacabana close to the beach, shops and restaurants and transport. The property has been recently rennovated and is clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful and good English speakers are available.

I went from Houston arrived Rio late nite came to my hotel the room was ready and very clean in perfect condition I love WiFi work perfectly and bed are very comfortable and most important thing is bathroom was very clean shower work great . Hotel very nice location 7 mins walk from Copacabana beach and lots food restaurants and easy to take taxi or public bus. The hotel manager Mr. Charles vaz is very helpful and very polite guy he trained his stuff very professionals I’m very impressed. I wil tell my if they go to Rio stay at royalty Rio hotel for sure and last the breakfast was very good to... Syed Refaie

Great location 3 short blocks to Copacabana beach. Several nice restaurants down by beach. SAFE area for walking in the evenings. Only complaint was wifi needed constant re-entry of code every time you left room. Annoying. Often had to re-enter code again by pool in building. Staff at front desk fantastic with info about area and help booking tours etc

When I arrived they were thourgh with my reservations and the rules that I must follow for my hotel. The best thing is security. They have a security guard at night at the door. So even though you stayed there, you had to present your hotel key, I recommend that you take the hotel key jacket with you cause it has the name of hotel and room number written. And then you are able to go up to your room. They do not allow anyone after hours. It's great for anyone who wants to feel secure. The staff were great to set up a tour guide that links to the hotel. They reached out to them for me and I had my tour. Fantastic. So I really recommend this place. Very clean. Beds you can sleep in great! I will come back to this place.

A very pleasant stay
We had a really pleasant stay. The hotel is well positioned (we felt safe at all times and we walked to the beach and back both during daytime and night time), the rooms are clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good as well. We liked the view from the top of the hotel and the fact that it has a pool. The pool is not deep, but it cools you down on a hot day and that was what we needed.

Location is good, close to the beach, restaurant, shopping, metro and bus stop. Did my own tour because of my experienced at the airport. My hotel pick-up didn't show up, they said no service after hours. They accepted the online booking and it's already paid for. I paid double on taxi fare, can't trust anyone even the money changer. Their exchange rate is way way low. Anyway my own way of seeing the city is best.

Great value in Rio
Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and well furnished. Good bathroom. It is clean, but not spotless. Location is good. Walking distance to the beach (3 blocks). Lots of local shops and restaurants around. Based on the value, I do recommend this hotel.

Royalty Rio Hotel Experience
This is a lovely chic hotel located in a safe touristic area (Copacabana). The staff are friendly and the hotel is located just three blocks away from the Copacabana Beach. The rooms are new, therefore they are very clean and beds are very comfortable. All rooms have A/C and very grateful for that too. I will definitely come back again.

Not bad, room was nice and big for Copacabana, some staff could use some friendly lessons as it seemed we put them out. Cost for drinks was extremely expensive, although rooftop pool (wading are patio was nice. Breakfast was good. Biggest issue was the nickel and diming, had to pay if you wanted wifi in room I believe it was about 30Real, also there was a 30Real tax not included.

The hotel was average, nice location from beach and transit. Breakfast needed work and rooms to small for two beds. We had a Bell boy help us with a lot and spoke 3 language's very well. Would stay there again.
