Do not book.. awful experience

I booked this hostel for 8 days but when I got there I couldn't even stay for one night. The place is in a terrible location, so far from everything, it's in up on hill inside the favela, and besides that after the hill there's a lot of stairs to go up to get to the hostel. These stairs smell awful and are full of dirt, would be really difficult for someone to go out at night since there's not easy safe transportation. The entire hostel smells like cat pee, the rooms was really dirty and looked really depresing. The locker was so full of dirt which I tried to clean out but it wouldn't come off. The terrace has a nice view but it is also an awful place to be, not confortable at all, not pretty.

É bem localizado, o que facilita muito o acesso a outros locais da cidade. Porém tem uma escada gigante para subir logo ao chegar (sem falar na ladeira). No demais é tranquilo.

Highly recommended Walk on the Favela hostel

Staff there was very helpful and location is not too far from copacabana beach. The only downside is those steps to get to the hostel. But after the first time, it does get much easier as u get use to it. Place kept very clean and plenty of space in the dorm to move around.
