Not bad for an all inclusive. Food was average and the beds were satisfactory. If you have a mobility problem this property will be a challenge for you as walking distances between rooms, pools, and dining areas are long. You can get transportation for check in and check out which is nice

We enjoyed the food and restaurant choices. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and made up daily. Pools had very little shade, with limited umbrellas to beat the sun. Natural foliage shade should be considered with the temperatures being so hot. Pools also had maintenance problems throughout our stay, primarily the jets in several pools were out of service which raised the water temperature in the pools to almost air temperature. The adult pool was out of service for our last three days. As a suggestion, live local (Latin) music two or three times a week would have been appreciated, as there was no live entertainment. Also, access to indoor and outdoor games (e.g., shuffleboard) would have been nice.

The food was good and there were a lot of options. The beach was great. The staff were friendly and helpful (they do their best with English). The facility is a tad dated, but was ok. I wish I realized there was an airport 5 minutes away, I flew in and out of Panama City and it’s a very long taxi ride (2.5 hours going back). The entertainment was not great, but they did make an effort with it.

We were a group of 3 couples, and we stayed in the Plus area. We were able to go to Lobby 3 for a quick check in, and were served a cold welcome drink right away. Our room was on the 2nd floor (no elevator for those that have limitations). Our room was lovely. It had two beds, and a smaller cot thing. We had a beautiful view of the ocean. Our room was clean, and we had no problems with the towels. The buffet (Pacifiko) had a wonderful variety and was very good. The first night, they were serving Mexican food and each night the food rotated to something different. There was always plenty of seating. The staff worked very hard and everything was kept clean. We ate at three of the other restaurants: Pannamai (Italian)--excellent; Cafe Med--excellent; and Cowboy Steak House--terrible steak, tough as shoe leather and I couldn't cut it even though I ordered medium rare. The adult swim up bar was excellent. I especially enjoyed talking with Lisbeth! The swim up bar was the only one that would let us have drinks in the pool. One problem is that every day we would go down around 7 am and all the chairs would already be saved with people putting their towels on them. In one of the lower pools, there was a group that hogged two cabanas and stacked all the upright chairs and tables inside these cabanas and stacked up several loungers as though they were the only people at the resort that might want to use them! The beach was beautiful! We had a wonderful stay

Resort was very basic. Quality of food was mediocre. Staff at front desk were rude and indifferent. Only had one key for our room and kept saying they would get us another one. Super weird about pool towels and wanted us to go back to our room and return towels to the pool before checking out - we declined and they went on and on about it as we walked away. Would not stay here ever again.

My stay was horrible to say the least. I booked an all inclusive “plus” ocean view through Hotels.com, which was not honored at the hotel. I reached out to Hotels.com, explained the situation and although they said they’d contact the hotel & get back to me they never did.

This resort was 2 hours from Panama City and was supposed to be a beach resort. The beach was closed all 4 days we were there, not even allowed in the ocean at all when it was low tide. Food options aren't great, dinner reservations are hard to get. Had a "plus" room but they do not actually show accurate photos because one room had a dorm bathroom with a shower curtain. Photos are very deceiving. Everything is far (30 mins) distance wise if you want food off the resort. Ended up leaving a day early to stay in the city.

The staff was very friendly and attentive during our stay, rooms and area were clean. Check in process took a while, and you can’t use the facility until practically your check in time, it took an hour to get the room keys so…. 4pm ; For the amount of $$ they charge they should allow their guess access until the rooms are ready. Instead they have to wait in the hot lobbies. The property is bit outdated, and their key door system very old school, and poor design; the WIFI was a joke even with the plus package that we purchased, The main areas and restaurants way to hot, no air conditioning , even with the fans way to hot. The buffet selection was nice. Half of the a la carte restaurants were closed and very limited space for reservations and even those restaurants were extremely hot. The kids had fun, in the pools and with the activities, the bars were nice. Overall we made the most of our stay, not sure if we will return to this property in specific , it was pricey and we expected more; not quite the experience we were hoping for.

We enjoyed our stay, but not sure if we would pay the extra for the "plus" if we were to return. The pools and beach were spectacular, and the night time entertainment was okay (although for those not fluent in Spanish - be aware that there is no English!). The food was the worst part - the buffet's were okay but quite repetitive, and the a la cartes were disappointing - not to mention that one of our reservations was cancelled without us being told, and showed up to the restaurant to find it closed which was a bit annoying. The steakhouse was okay, nothing spectacular, and the Asian Corner was very bland. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but it could have been better! :)

The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Service was “in-existence”. Food was limited at buffet. Restaurant food was horrible. We stayed at Plus, thinking that we paid more for the rooms than they should be better…WRONG! The resort should be rated a 2 star. The entire 5 days we stayed there, we ever got hand or wash towels. Staff were nice people but they don’t have the hospitality concept.

I liked the different swimming pool. I didn’t like that I have to called front desk for toilet paper and waited more than 30 mins because they didn’t personal to drop it. I also didn’t like the fact that the water was cut off when I was taking a shower and I end up waiting for more than 10 mins waiting to take the soup off. There was no variety of good food in the buffet.

Liked: Large well-maintained ocean faced resort. 6 open air restaurants and 1 inside restaurant. Land of plentiful food. Rooms and amenities are slightly outdated, but clean and of an excellent condition. Resort provides in-property transportation as well as an airport transfer. Disliked: Although there 6 restaurants, they all keep their menu unchanged. Also all restaurant has very short list of the fresh fruits and vegetables.

Fun family trip
It was a fun family trip. The beverage service during the meals is awful, only one person for the whole restaurant, it's impossible. It will be more efficient to take your own beverage from a dispenser or something. Buffet meals are not the best meal service, only a couple of options, and everything is too salty. Also, the restaurants with menus are too salty and the portions are tiny. The pools are fantastic! The best of the hotel. Beautiful environment, a lot of nature, comfortable but spaceless rooms.

It's OK
Grounds beautiful. Room is metter of luck. We got a beautiful room but with uncontrollably freezing AC, safe without the door! and a leaking faucet. After four hours of " it would be fixed in 20 min" finally had to change the room. Service varies, due to what looks like luck of training. Food is better if you are in the plus section. Overall for the right price it's OK

The hotel is in very back cleaning condition. At the Lobby roof leaking for several point. Swimming pools dirty and not clean treat water. I do not receive the hotel package offered. - Not Spa available - Not gym available - Parking out site on the street - The room provided was not the one I paid for.

Because we were on the plus plan we had plenty of options for eating and we found the quality fairly good. We liked the different options for the pools especially the adult only and the ocean was beautiful.On the downside there was no in room coffee maker and hardly any of the staff spoke english, therefore I do not see us returning.

Excellent location, great selection of pools and restaurants. The pools really need twice as many umbrellas as it is very hot here and EVERYONE wants to be in the shade. The chairs are mobile and could easily be moved into the sun if someone didn't want to be in the shade of an umbrella but cannot be moved into the shade if other people's chairs are already in the shade. This is very important as the official policy to obtain a chair in the shade is "chair hogging". If you put your towel on a chair at 7:30 AM it is yours for as long as the towel is on the chair even if you spend hours at a time away from your chair. The staff is personable and attempt to be helpful but be aware that most of the employees speak NO English; most who do (SOME of the front desk personnel and SOME of the bartenders) do not speak it very well. The TV is also mostly in Spanish. There are apparently activities that occur daily that are listed but we could find no listing anywhere of when and where those activities were occurring and trying to find out with the language barrier was impossible. I speak a little Spanish but it doesn't help as much as you might think b/c unless you use the exact sequence of words the person you are speaking to is expecting they don't have an ability to connect the dots to figure out what you are trying to say (example: asking for "Leche sin crema" was not understandable b/c while that describes what skim milk is, those are not the words for "skim milk".)

Nice, safe and spacious resort with lots of places you can stay in. Plus is a must thing if you would like to relax and not socializing too much. The only minus is that rooms are not good protected from a noise. Walls are thin and old wooden doors to the other room causes that you can even hear your neighbors even whispering.......and if anybody from any of the 3 floors will start parting.......you became a part of it. You’ll miss a privacy as well.

Plus needs more to it
We stayed when it was Mother's Day in Panama, and we were very glad we'd opted for the Plus package because it allow us to enjoy a quieter, less crowded pool. For those who had the regular all inclusive deal, the pools were extremely full and noisy. We also had a nice breakfast and lunch spot with awesome staff who deliver attentive service. The food here (Kontiki) for breakfast and lunch was better than in other spots on the resort. Overall, the quality of the food was the weakest part. There are no vegetarian options on the restaurant menus, and dinner was not great overall, whether in the restaurants or buffet halls. Plus guests should also be aware that there is no coffee in the rooms and transport from the airport can be a challenge to arrange. We enjoyed our stay given the excellent location and friendly staff, but the plus option needs more to it warrant the golden handcuff.
