"My wife and I have been to a lot of places and stayed at many different hotels. This hotel is a Clarion Pointe property of Choice Hotels. It's a chain hotel, run according to a chain's playbook. So imagine my surprise when I read a number of negative recent reviews telling me in no uncertain terms that this was a terrible place. I came and stayed in late September 2026. According to the Choice Hotels website website, this is what this hotel chain is supposed to be about: Experience contemporary design touches, on-demand connectivity, modern fitness essentials and curated food and beverage options—from a complimentary better-for-you breakfast to premium beverages for purchase at our marketplace. This is exactly what it is. The room was spotless, the bathroom was not super high-grade but was also spotless. The room had been recently renovated. I couldn't see a single reason for all the negativity. It's a Clarion Pointe hotel. It isn't the Radisson. It isn't a fleabag, or even an economy motel option. It's not a place you'll be ashamed to take your wife or family member or work contractor or church group or kid's hockey team to. The staff, especially Sam and Bill at the front desk, is very good at what they do, and always ready to help. There's plenty of peace and quiet. It's clean. It's in an accessible location, Bottom line: this was a nice hotel and I'd stay here again if I come back to Erie."

"The coffee here was EXCELLENT! I wish I could have a cup of their coffee right now! hahahah Staff was amazing! We really didn't need to ask for anything but while eating our breakfasts we could hear how happy and joyous they were! Talking to people and being helpful and sweet. Always smiling and checking on us when we walked by the lobby. It was so sweet to hear kind words and genuine friendly interaction between staff. The room was comfortable and clean and I am very fussy about clean! Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
