Visited on a Monday in February and lots of the little independent shops were closed. Would have liked to have visited the workhouse and police museums but these were also closed.

"Fabulous recent 2 nights stay at the Black Swan Inn . Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and very efficient . Our room was a lovely large space and a very big king sized bed which was extremely comfortable . We will definitely return ."

"Having to bring own coffee etc.was not ideal. Also own towels for shower in facilities in main campsite. Understand cost savings why done but this is somewhat disappointing. POD great though, clean. Nice comfortable bed. Site overall very clean & well maintained ."

Ripon is not a place we would visit again - its a bit run down as most town centres are with loads of charity shops at least there’s a Wetherspoons on the market square for a cheap drink or 2!
