"I am writing to bring to your attention a concern regarding a recent stay at the Colonial Inn Franklin that I booked through Expedia. This was my second stay at this establishment, with my first stay taking place from May 13–15 and my most recent stay beginning on July 22.
During my first stay, I was assigned Room 109. This room is located in a dark back corner of the property, has spotty internet service, and offers limited access to parking. When I checked in on July 22 for my second stay, I...
"Staff was very nice and helpful. Stay was not what I expected for the price. Commode lid was extremely loose, chair cushion was very sticky so, I turned the cushion over to the other side and it was filthy with gobs of hair etc. I had to put a pillowcase on the cushion to sit in the chair. The water valve in the bathroom sink was missing the handle that changes water from hot to cold was missing. Items were reported upon checkout so, hopefully the next guest won’t have those problems."
"We stay here every year for our annual waterfall visiting trip. The previous three years, they had a hot breakfast. But this year it’s just cereal, waffles, bagels or toast, and yogurt. Just wish they’d add muffins, fresh fruit like apples or oranges, and cold boiled eggs, if they are minimizing. Bed was comfy as usual, and their inside pool is the best! Customer service was wonderful. Will return next year."
"Check in staff was friendly. Assigned room was musty because of a large water stain in ceiling. Moved to a second room which was better. Good clean beds and bathroom. stained or rotten floor trims. Small flies in bedroom and bathroom. Sink inside the room by the bed, not inside the bathroom. Definitely rooms need repair and update. Would only stay in an emergency."
