"High peaks was great for our summer stay in lake placid. We were in the waterfront collection and the ease of lake and pool access from the room was amazing. The rooms were cozy and beds comfortable. I wish they had fixed the dock the other side of the lake to give more options to sit and view the lake. The included water activities was a real treat! I would love to see refillable water dispensers, they were nowhere to be found at the resort; in the summer especially, that would have been nice. Also, one night they should have a late opening at the bar at the lake house. They closed at 9pm, in the summer. I get not every night but make it into a special evening with late night bar and maybe some activity at the lake house for the guests. Also, they had a movie night but I think the movie was poorly chosen because it was rated R-comedy and there were so many kids staying there at the waterfront and watching the movies. It was just uncomfortable. Could have been a family friendly comedy/movie but they made a bad choice. Other than that, recommend the resort, cant beat the location."

"I can’t say enough about this place - from every little detail, they thought of everything. We stayed here between two hikes and it was the perfect place to rest. Everything was comfortable and inviting. We booked the upstairs queen room with a private bathroom. And to our surprise it had its own sitting area with mini fridge, coffee station and microwave with chairs. Absolutely perfect to sit and enjoy. It’s so clean, and so adorable. The balcony has a great view and it was wonderful chatting with others who were also resting between hikes. They are so welcoming to dogs as well - our dog enjoyed it and was just as comfortable.. The staff is amazing and incredibly friendly. We will definitely be back as we plan more hikes in the high peak region and we honestly can say it’s just as much of a highlight as the hikes!! "I loved everything about this property! But, I think what stands out the most is 1) its uniqueness. We stayed in a 2-person a frame cabin that was so cute and sophisticated and cozy all in one. I love the designer style. It was equipped with all the comforts we wanted. (No TV but we didn’t care! We weren’t there to watch tv). 2) the staff was so kind and helpful. Their recommendations for dining and hiking and what to see in town was perfect for us. When we got home late one night they even had our fire pit ready for us to cook s’mores at 9pm. And 3) all the little amenities around the property. A walking trail to see the river. Pool, corn hole, hammocks, a library, the community fire pit for enjoying s’mores with other visitors if you want to be social. I mean, you don’t get any of this at a regular hotel! 100% recommend."

"Wonderful vacation spot. The apartment was large, clean, close to the lake. Perfect spot to walk around the lake, walk to shops and restaurants and coffee spots. Right across from Olympic rinks and museum. The kitchen was well stocked and having access to laundry room was great. Driving to hiking trailheads was easy and quick from this location "
