Beds are hard, bring an extra pillow. Room was clean and close to the hospital i needed to be at. Staff is loud and noise carries into the room.

There was no working smoke detector. The lighting was so dim I couldn't see the wording on the microwave adequately. There were no ramps, in otherwords the building I was in was inadequately accessable.

I have stayed several times because of it's great location in relationship to the Mayo Clinic and it's affordability. That being said my expectations are based on the price I pay. This is a low end hotel and and as such I'm expect a working tv, properly functioning climate control and a clean room. That being said the light in the bathroom did not work but the sink and mirror are located outside the bathroom and I was able get enough light to get by. They did offer me another room but I chose to stay where I was. The room cleanliness was ok but definitely needs a deep cleaning. The sheets were very clean and so were the towels. The a/c worked great. I am always fasting so I wasn't able to use the breakfast bar. I make the walk to the Mayo clinic in 7-10 minutes depending how fast I feel like walking. Overall it suits my purpose fine and you can't beat the price. If you are fussy about

Over all poor condition of room. Unable to regulate room temp. Halls smelled of cat pee. Out side door (to street) did not lock, thus not secure. I guess you get what you pay for.

Cleanins was ok but this building could use updates and remodeling. Beds were not that comfortable lighting was poor. Shower sprayed everywhere.for and the wifi in room hardly worked it would come in and out. But being that it waa cheap and close to the hospital i could walk to my destination.

I made reservations to stay at this property on Expedia when I had early morning appointments at St. Mary's the next morning. Upon check in I was told that I was not allowed to stay at the property because I lived within 50 miles of Rochester. I was told that this is a policy for all Rochester hotels. That is simply not true because I have stayed at the Kahler properties many times which I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND over this place. The staff was incredibly rude. It's funny, because the 5th Ave Inn and Suites is managed by the same person as this place, and I was allowed to stay there a few weeks ago and no one questioned the fact that I live within 50 miles of Rochester. Stay away from this place, very weird and arbitrary rules.

When we arrived the night attendent was very curtious, but just like the last time we stayed there after the second day they said our address was 3 miles to close to the town we were in and said they couldnt rent to us again. The day worker was very rude .

Dirty rooms. No room numbers on the doors. Bathrooms looked dirty. Windows were open on a cold day. My dresser was in the closet with a broken handle. Floors were not vacuumed. Would not recommend. Overpriced for what you get.

I wouldn’t stay here.

I would not stay here another time when I’m in town. It was dirty. There we carpet stains. I found someone else earring and bottle cap. And I opened a drawer and found like 4 to 5 Walmart bags there and a starburst wrap and a whole starburst. It was bad. I do not recommend anyone stay. Yes I only paid 63 dollars but still was bad. But it should be clean a lot better.

Dont stay here!

I rented 2 rooms and they were dirty and one had a lock on the thermostat and it was set at 58. I was taking a person to the Mayo clinic and the cold room was the poor person I was transporting. The lady at the desk said the owner will call me and it has been over 24 hours with no call. I would not recommend this place at all.

The accommodations appear to be former apartments, three "nine-flat" buildings that are approximately 50 years old. No elevators. Common areas and room(s) are in fair to good condition. The accommodations are plain. My unit apparently had not been rented in a while, as the freezer compartment was a solid block of ice and hot water at the sink came out as a rusty trickle until used for about 1 hour, then normal flow and color.

Staff friendly and helpful, room not good.

I got this room for my brother & SIL to stay at. The front desk really worked with me when my CC info didn't get in on website. Family found food in fridge and clothes in the drawers. The bed was ok for about 6 hours before it was uncomfortable, small trash found like vacuum had pushed it under the couch and bed edges but visible.

Saint Mary's hospital visit

Stayed one night waiting for wife to be discharged from hospital. Room was adequate that fit my needs with a bed and hot shower. Staff was polite and let me park my car for the day while I was at the hospital. Hot coffee available in the morning.

Our Go To Choice!

2nd Street is within walking distance of Mayo Clinic for a healthy person. There is also a shuttle thst stops frequently. Both of these mean that you do not need to fight the crowds for a parking spot in the garages!! Not the best hotel I've ever stayed at, but definitely not the worst!!! The staff is super friendly and helpful!!! And the close proximity to everything Rochester, makes this our go to choice whenever we visit Mayo!!!

Dont stay here. Not covid santitized yuk

First of all, i could not understand what the owner was saying. Told me i had a different name on my charge card and licence didnt match up to spelling. I have bad knee and i to go up 5 floors to get to my room and it was freezing in there. The air conditioner was on. There was no light in the bedroom or bath. So i called. He came up and did not know what was wrong so i was sent to another building. Went up 3 floor this time. Took my things up. Went to the bedroom and it looked like someone had vomited recently. Went out the door to get a bit to eat, turned back to make sure the room carded worked so i didnt have the hassle if it hadnt. And of course it did not open the door up so off i go down 3 floor the up 2 floors tl tell him my card dont work. Needly to say this is the worst experience ive ever had with renting a room. This place should be shut down. I had to stay cause there was no money back cancellation. I choose here for price and it was closes to St.Marys hospital where my sister is in the hospital. Funds are limited in my budget and i stayed in another hotel for 2 nights that was more expensive. So i say it really isnt a deal if you have to sleep in a dirty room

Served the purpose

The purpose of our visit to Rochester was the Mayo Clinic. This hotel definitely served the purpose of a place to sleep and shower which is what we needed. The staff was friendly and courteous. The room was in need of minor repairs. We had to switch rooms because the first room was cold;the window had been left open and the heater didn’t work. Overall the place provided us a bed and running water. The rates were very reasonable!

It was 32 degrees outside and the temperature in the room must have been about 90. There was no thermostat in the room to turn down the heat. So I had to run the air conditioner full blast to cool off the room. The cold air never got back to the bedroom so I had to sleep on the couch which was near the cold air
