"The front desk called our room at 9:03 pm telling us we had a noise complaint. My 2 children were playing red light green light, ages 5 and 2. Keep in mind that quiet time is 11:00 pm. We called back to confirm this and because the people below us had an early morning we were told we had to be quiet. We asked to move to a lower floor and they said they were unable to accommodate that and again we needed to be quiet. "

"I would like to share my experience from my stay last night at the Candlewood Hotel in Lake Mary, Florida. Upon arrival, the hotel made a great first impression. It is beautiful and surrounded by nature. However, when it came time to sleep, the experience was completely different. I was assigned room 423, and once everything was turned off, the noise from the nearby freeway was very noticeable. I understand that the hotel has soundproofing, but in my case it was not sufficient or did not function effectively, as the noise was constant and made it very difficult to rest. After trying to sleep for over an hour, I had to go down to the front desk to request a room change. I was moved to room 101, where the noise was somewhat reduced, but still noticeable. Overall, it was a very uncomfortable night and I was only able to get very little rest. It is unfortunate, because the hotel has great potential, but this issue significantly affects the guest experience. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter, as it may impact other guests as well. Thank you for your attention."

"I was pleasantly surprised. I was a bit worried after seeing some bad reviews but my budget don’t allow for a different hotel. It was completely renovated. I did a mattress check and it looked like a new mattress. Paint in the wall nice and it was clean. They came daily to change towels and small wipe through. So nothing like the bad reviews. I stayed in room 220 however all the other rooms that I saw walking past looked newly renovated as well. I didn’t use the little breakfast area so can’t comment on that. Quite at night but in the morning some street noise from cars. Would stay here again. "

"Do not stay here! We arrived to check in and were greeted by multiple Police cars there to conduct a drug bust. We asked the Police if this was still a decent place to stay. They replied, "No we would not let our families stay here." They gave us a significantly better option down the road."
