"A lovely stay. We stay here when visiting our son at Missou. (It breaks up our trip from Chicago.) The rooms are very clean and modern. The beds are comfortable and the staff is nice. Breakfast is OK, but just a 1/2 block away is a delicious hometown breakfast diner we love. And the Mark Twain dinette across the street has delicious fried chicken and root beer too. The one draw-back is the building is older, so you may hear people in the halls, if they are loud (or inconsiderate) and you’re a light sleeper."
"Everyone was just very respectful and very helpful checking in was easy and quick online reservation was easy so checking was a breeze thank you staff it's been a wonderful stay and would highly recommend you guys to everyone"
"I was travelling so just needed a room for the night. A busload of teenagers arrived just before me. Staff was very efficient and I had a very brief wait to check in. Room was clean. I didn't eat breakfast due to all of the teenagers in line (not the hotel's fault). There appeared to be plenty of food."
"The historic feel, but still maintained well and VERY clean. Staff was nice as well. I really like the upgrades, and hope to try the restaurant next time.
Hoping they will start allowing dogs back sometime, if they can sort it out bit still had a great stay."
"While my room was small, it was very neat and clean. Fillowing its renovation all the interior spaces are essentially new and well appointed. Its located in a quiet part of town off the main throughfare resulting in a very quiet night. You need to make sure you know how to contact the owner/manager to get access to the building and your room if there is no one present. Its a unique overnight stop and i would certainly recommend it, especially for individual travelers."
"No front desk, all transactions were done remotely! If there was any issue, it would have to be done over the phone! Thankfully everything was fine, but I not a fan of getting instructions on my phone to check in! What if my phone wasn’t working or not charged since I was on the road! It was a wonderful room, but should be informed that there is no one at the hotel!"
"A nice, cozy, small town feel. Was recommended Gianni's pizza down the road from the hotel staff. Very friendly people, will stay again when I visit "
"Our room was delightful. The bath was down the hall but not inconvenient.
We did not select the breakfast option.
We did not have the opportunity on this trip to partake of the nearby shops."
