"We arrived late at night due to our late flight. Checking in thru the machine was easy, but the problem was we were assigned a room but no door lock code was given. We called the after hours contact number and he was not able to help us with providing a door code. We had to drive 25mins to another B&B hotel to get a room to stay for the night. I feel bad for the other 2 groups who has the same problem as I but they could not leave the hotel due to their early flight in the morning."

"The stay started with a terrible check-in at 7:45 where I had to prove I had a reservation and that I had paid for the room in advance - the staff did not bother to check the computer - I was made to feel I was a major inconvenience. The room was basic, German circa 1975, but not bad. It was clean, serviceable, and the water in the shower was warm. The Continental breakfast was the most basic we have had in a German hotel - sliced deli meats, two cheeses, boiled eggs, butter, one type of bread roll (which was warm and straight of the oven - that was nice) coffee, and jam. That was it. The best thing about it was it is an easy 7 minutes from the Baden-Baden Airport and it had free parking. Would I stay again? Perhaps, if I was flying from Baden-Baden and there weren't better hotels nearby."

"We had a very nice stay at the hotel. It’s in a peaceful location near the downtown of Rastatt. We would hope to return again in the future."

"Neither Expedia nor The Hotel Du Bois make it clear in any way that this is an unmanned “Hostel” It is not a hotel in the way most people would understand. The room was ok, breakfast fine, but the lack of transparency on the status unacceptable. And for what you get it is actually expensive. I would not recommend it"
