Moorland north of Vatten It seems to consist largely of unimproved rough grazing. In the distance can be seen the houses of Roag, with Macleod's Tables forming the skyline.

Wild iris and a blue sky The mass of wild iris are just coming into flower. The river is Abhainn an Loin Mhoir, which enters Pool Roag just out of the picture to the left. The single story white building is the Dunorin House Hotel. The mountain is Healabhal Mhor.

Moorland above Vatten Black cattle have been grazing this land all summer, but they had wandered to another part of the moor today. The distant strung-out township is Roag, and the hills are Healabhal Bheag (left of centre) and Healabhal Mhor (on the right) - more often referred to as MacLeod's Tables.

Best stay in Scotland!
Sue and Warren are excellent hosts! The room was well decorated and very comfortable! We were met by Sue who walked us through all of the room information. Breakfast was offered in the morning and it was delicious! Seriously our best stay in our whole time in Scotland!
